Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Some comments on chapter II while I'm going through so I don't forget-
A mage with murderlust that killed a unit with full HP now has infinite HP basically.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
The Demon Cavalryman has no sprite, shows the Image Not Found sprite instead, playing on 1.11.5.

That's because it's his whirlwind attack, it cannot be countered.it seems odd that not a single enemy can hit him

Not quite sure what you are speaking about.Konrad2 wrote:@dugi
that "only" refered to "leader" which means i used only leaders to beat the demons
The usual resistance bonuses from armour, the +X% to physical resistances, behaves that way, but bonuses like +20% to fire resistance stacks normally. Anyway, all resistances are capped at about 80%.neltnerb wrote:Oh, I thought percentage increases didn't stack that way. Could have sworn it said so at one point, I must be confused. Is it possible to reach 100% resistance with just the bonuses from equipment?
Huge drain in retaliation is a long-time source of troublesomely immortal units, so death's chosen would be rather awkward. Aura increasing maximum HP of undead units would be troublesome to code, and quite buggy because of the amount of possible interactions with other abilities that would be difficult to handle. An aura increasing resistances would be fine for them. A totally invisible unit with the ability to flee from each fight into safety would be overpowered, it can be achieved by combining some items in convenient scenarios, but shouldn't be possible with a unit type.neltnerb wrote:Some random ideas:

I don't like the idea of items that would have different effects on different units.neltnerb wrote: you made this a special set of items so that having more than one increases bonuses, perhaps this could be done to limit again the benefit to other units?
I still prefer giving them some improved AMLA and adding some items that would be particularly good for them.
I have seen this already, but it is a really weird bug. It happens after that all of my code is executed, it is the game itself that messes up something. It also does not tell what, but the developers promised to change it to show what actually failed. Creating a unit with empty type field just means that it tried to do something with a unit whose unit type wasn't recognised. So far, I can't tell what failed, where it failed, nor how it failed.gooby wrote:In the savefile I am attaching, verbose Lua errors occur reliably at the end of turn 2 / beginning of turn 3.
This was intentional. Whirlwind does the same damage to all adjacent units, so if the targeted unit dealt damage back, you would always simply choose to attack the least damaging unit.neltnerb wrote:At the very least, it seems like the enemy targeted should be able to hit him, and if anything he should be more vulnerable.

Look inside this spoiler. Orcs and goblins aren't in the last uploaded version.:
That is a bug in 1.10.4 you're using. Update it to 1.10.5 or 1.10.6 and it will be okay.neltnerb wrote:A mage with murderlust that killed a unit with full HP now has infinite HP basically.
Worked on my 1.11.5. The game sometimes fails to load a file without apparent reason as far as I know. The Demon Cavalryman has no sprite, shows the Image Not Found sprite instead, playing on 1.11.5.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
in "Friends No More" Lethalia and Efraim dont talk with each other, not before the fight and not after he beat her (playing efraims side)
is that intended?

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
does the unit get those hp when i go to next scenario after updating someday to the fixed version?
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
No. It will remain bugged forever. You can use this save file I edited for you to have it fixed.
Update: 11 scenarios out of 15 finished.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
What exactly is the "female^loyal" attribute?
EDIT - "When the Flames Freeze" doesn't have enough turns. Endless onslaught of powerful enemies + cramped quarters.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Hi,
In "Heart Mountains", I encountered the following text appearing on the screen playing as Efraim. Wesnoth version 1.10.4, sorry if this is fixed in later versions.

It just means that I have confused the code for enabling translations somewhere.gooby wrote:What exactly is the "female^loyal" attribute?
Someone told me it, the new version will increase it.gooby wrote:"When the Flames Freeze" doesn't have enough turns. Endless onslaught of powerful enemies + cramped quarters.
This problem was already reported. It is quite a pain in the back because it happens only spontaneously (I never generated it myself) or under some mysterious conditions, it appears after that all code I have written is executed and the error message is extremely unspecific (it means just that something went wrong with a unit). No idea what was the problem, but after an hour of tracking, I found a block of code that was related and rewriting it somehow fixed the problem.neltnerb wrote:In "Heart Mountains", I encountered the following text appearing on the screen playing as Efraim. Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I don't know if it is related, but between "Another Orcish Assault" and "Search for Elves", one of my units did disappear. The error appears every level, but it's the only unit related bug I noticed. OTOH, maybe other units have been disappearing too -- I only noticed this one because the missing unit is a Destroyer I enhanced up to 10 movement points with marksman... you can find her under the name "Owarercyn".Dugi wrote:This problem was already reported. I have attached the two save games showing the disappearance. In between, I redeem the troll with Lethalia and destroy the last catapult with the Dragon Rider. I checked the two save files and searched for the unit name, and it appears to be present in both files as a [unit] block.
Best,
Brian
