Re: Legend of the Invincibles
There is a bug preventing it from upgrading past level 15. The rest of the code is written, but I forgot to edit that part.Raijer wrote:New problem: it seems the upgrade to lvl 16 redeem wasn't made (or did i take my dreams for realities?). Do this to fix it:
The number of enemies will be decreased. Anyway, it can be relatively a good shortcut, so it should not be easy (have you tried the Passage of Detriment yet?).Raijer wrote:Also, the first really annoying scenario is "Catacombs of prolonged agony", though it's awesome for exp/redeem.
In this case, a save file after that it dropped to negative values would serve just as a proof that it happened, and would not help much to identify the cause. Which weapon specials did he have and which weapon specials did his opponent have?Raijer wrote:And i think Efraim went in negative hps, but i wasn't able to reproduce it, as it needed a special combination of hits.
I am writing chapter 10, so I am not going to update soon. Just use debug mode to decrease her hp to 1 and kill her.Faereth wrote:Ok so i guess ill just wait till then

Which in also meant killing all of the loyal undead and lvl 3 undead i had :/

only thing she had been given was the sword named Dragon Claw which was taken away when she turned into the monster and shown she had just a sword with arcane and 7 attacksDugi wrote:Didn't you put too many good items on her before?
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
i dont know on what diffeiculty you played, but back then i killed her on easy, after she attcked me

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Uh... I removed all my automatic save without thinking about it like an idiot. If i remember right, it was a knight of annihilation, against Efraim with fury, essaim, leeches, cleave, lesser berserk (2) and double marksman. Also, Efraim was boosted by my celestial messenger with warlord's rule and radiation (though it got illumination, cantor, leadership and some others, but it didn't affect Efraim). Also, even when i used debug to try to create this situation again, (putting Efraim in near death, and then attacking), it didn't happen.
Anyway, i'm replaying it again as i wanna get redeem 16. No need to rebalance it, it's actually getting a lot easier once you know the trick to stop them from appearing everywhere (i first thought it was about villages, as i didn't know if you could do this on Wesnoth). Even if it's tricky at start, it's better than other scenarios who are too easy (Pandemonium was destroyed by 3 units + a bunch of apparition to get burning souls).

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Those spells regenerate, though slowly (once every 10 turns/every scenario, Dugi pls correct me if i'm wrong as i don't remember it much). Devour means that the unit you devoured will be recalled with the "soul gate" spell in priority (again, correct me if i'm wrong).
Also, Problem, Lethalia needs more redeem to pass on lvl 17. The green numbers say 415, but the description still says 369.
EDIT:... That's strange. It's now at 369, like normal, but joining the save file where it goes to 415, you just have to use Lethalia, and it will go to lvl 16 and show 1/415.

@Faereth
I might make you gain her items before the fight.
@Raijer
That is strange, but all of these things worked properly a thousand times before... maybe some rare core bug. There is a bug deep down there, causing occasionally invalid writing (that sometimes crashes the game with no apparent reason).
@Faereth and Raijer
The greater spells are restored when finishing scenario and starting a new one, not after 10 turns. 10 turns is the time to recharge the teleport to leader function.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I only said that she was devoured because I would have to bring her out with Soulgate and then level her up to try to replicate the effect. Too much of a hassle right now.Dugi wrote:Not too likely to be the cause, but as I don't know what the cause actually is...gooby wrote:She's been devoured.
Sort of off-topic but the incident being shown is historical. Are you saying the movie messed up the details?Dugi wrote:That video is bullcrap. The criticality causes thermal expansion that stops the reaction almost immediately. Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I have graduated as a physicist less than a week ago. I know pretty well that it could not look like that. It just can't happen in a film without the theatrical effects, you simply don't make the chain reaction flash blue light and stop, you must make it stay for some time until somebody heroically sacrifices his health and probably also life to stop it with his own hand (as if simply touching nuclear fuel was more dangerous than simply approaching it, it usually damages the fuel more than you, of course, if you have a wound there, you might die from radioactive metal poisoning).gooby wrote:Sort of off-topic but the incident being shown is historical. Slender is perfectly correct. Slander looks like a more rare form. Just use google.gooby wrote:"Akula's Place" ... "greatly offended by your slender" → "greatly offended by your slander"?

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Typo in "Hear of steelhive", the master fabricator says "chat before combar", i think it should be "before combat".
Also, the dialog about being able to redeem machines is triggered when i redeem the master fabricator, even though it already was shown after speaking to it.
And i'm pretty sure slender isn't supposed to be used there... Slender means thin, speaking of someone (in opposition to fat) while slander is the good one, meaning an insult.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
\o/ Chapter 10 is getting closer... And i'm still searching for the Passage of Detriment. I'm trying to destroy the whole temple before going for Uria. Actually, Efraim is doing most scenarios alone now (9000+ exp needed...).
Also, in "Verminous Sewers", maybe you could make a lvl 12 great spider demon (usually, the leader has a better lvl than the recruits)?
And there seems to be a problem when looking at the inventory, kinda hard to explain, but it's like the inventory does not show smoothly. Joining a save file, it happens when, looking at the storage, you go down the list until around the amulets. Then there's a problem. Though it doesn't stop from using it. it's just a little annoying.
A little error: When encountering the black souls, it's the black soul that says "aaaah a black soul", and your unit that says "Morrrrtal... You possess......" I think you shouldn't permit the player to go to Uria's den so easily. Or maybe it's just that i'm lucky (since it's said that the ways are random) ?

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Dang. I should weaken some items.Efraim is doing most scenarios alone now (9000+ exp needed...).
Don't. It can be a good shortcut right from the temple's entrance to Uria, but it is a labyrinth that is more than twice as large as the maximum size of maps. Additionally, the paths are changing.And i'm still searching for the Passage of Detriment.
I don't feel like making a sprite for a unit that is not important plot-wise and appears only once. Maybe I could give their leader a particularly deadly combination of traits.Also, in "Verminous Sewers", maybe you could make a lvl 12 great spider demon (usually, the leader has a better lvl than the recruits)?
Never seen this. You apparently have too many items there, and the interface is not able to handle it. The changes I am planning to do should solve this problem.And there seems to be a problem when looking at the inventory, kinda hard to explain, but it's like the inventory does not show smoothly.
Whoops. Fixed.When encountering the black souls, it's the black soul that says "aaaah a black soul", and your unit that says "Morrrrtal... You possess......
There is always a way that will lead you to her den, but there are alternate paths that are usually shorter. Maybe you were lucky, but from the 15 locations in her temple, you probably won't need to enter a half. And yes, the transitions are random. Or better to way, semi random, they are almost always constant, but most of them are blocked so that they look like walls (randomly chosen which ones).I think you shouldn't permit the player to go to Uria's den so easily. Or maybe it's just that i'm lucky (since it's said that the ways are random) ?
