There is only "Close" button in game help. Could you give me a screenshot?Lorric wrote:Found something else.
If you double tap to pull up in game help. The "ok" for selecting one of the topics is outside the screen range on n iPhone 5 so you can't select it. Basically have to force quit the app I think.
ps: New version will be uploaded to appstore next week

Re: Wesnoth 1.10.4 for iphone/ipad & source code is out now!
Ok so went back and had another look. It appears that the regular help found within the menu from top left works ok and everything is accessible.
But, I was playing an addon "legend of the invincibles" and if u double tap on a tile in that campaign. Another help appears "LOTI help". I think it's hints and tips specific to this campaign. Anyway I haven't been able to replicate the "ok" being outside the screen anymore. But if I do go into some of the tabs to get help within this menu, the game crashes.
So this is a help menu specific to the addon and not the general help menu.
Can do without it, and I understand that addons can have their dramas so don't worry about it.
I had previously thought I was within the main help menu but turns out I was in this specific campaign menu. No big deal.

We'll see if the update that he's working on directed as solving add-on issues resolves the issue.Lorric wrote:Ok so went back and had another look. It appears that the regular help found within the menu from top left works ok and everything is accessible.

On a somewhat related note: Dailin, I was looking at the resolution of some of the devices, and for example, the iPhone 5's resolution is 1,136 × 640.
I don't know much about iPhone app writing, but can you set a higher resolution for the devices that support it? I'm guessing at that resolution the tiles might be too small, but just a stray thought I had.
I'm loving the current release, I've been telling all my friend with iphones/ipads they need to pick it up. Hope sales are going well for you

Re: Wesnoth 1.10.4 for iphone/ipad & source code is out now!

Wesnoth game engine is SDL 1.2 which don't support iphone retina screen, so iphone5's resolution is only 568 X 320 in our games.kapnbanjo wrote:On a somewhat related note: Dailin, I was looking at the resolution of some of the devices, and for example, the iPhone 5's resolution is 1,136 × 640.

It's too bad about the resolution thing, but that's understandable. We still love you. lol. so what's on the change log for this new release? I feel like Christmas came early

Re: Wesnoth 1.10.4 for iphone/ipad & source code is out now!
I have a bug to report. At the end of the second scenario in THoT, (the second one is all talking) there is a "Finished" window, which tells you the carryover percentage, ect. At the bottom of the window, there is a button that says "close". If you tap on it, iwesnoth crashes every time. I have an iPod touch 4th gen.
Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Does anyone know if you delete an addon do you lose the saved data from that addon or does it stay and you can reinstall that addon and still have that saved data
Re: Wesnoth 1.10.4 for iphone/ipad & source code is out now!
I've not verified, but I believe that save games stay, but all other save data is deleted, such as settings etc...Feareth wrote:Does anyone know if you delete an addon do you lose the saved data from that addon or does it stay and you can reinstall that addon and still have that saved data
Re: Wesnoth 1.10.4 for iphone/ipad & source code is out now!
As far as I know, uninstalling an add-on does not delete its data. Saved games remain in place; and if an add-on has settings or other data, they would be stored in its game saves or in persistent variables, which I don’t think are cleared unless the add-on says to clear them, which it can’t if it’s uninstalled.
Re: Wesnoth 1.10.4 for iphone/ipad & source code is out now!
This is correct in mainline Wesnoth, and I’d suspect it is in this port as well given the amount of work that would be necessary to associate all that volatile data to individual add-ons in the first place.8680 wrote:As far as I know, uninstalling an add-on does not delete its data.
More elaborate explanation veering into off-topicness that doesn’t really matter for players and is only here for reference:
Author of the unofficial UtBS sequels Invasion from the Unknown and After the Storm.

What exactly was fixed with add-ons? IS this with the crashing from the story being to long or is this something else that was wrong with them?
