It's not really my place to say, but I think that you'd be better putting all of your efforts to develop a basic engine/system first, similar to wesnoth, and then you can costumize it however you like afterwards. If you start thinking of different features and doing work on them, your just spreading your efforts, and it'll eventually lead nowhere (or take much longer to get there). Anyway, just my two cents :)

:D II think trying to add bells and whistles before the basics are done is how something like this dies. Look at how wesnoth was origanally developed. Art and code for the the new intedface need to be the focus. Options come later.

It's spelled "definitely", not "definately". "Defiantly" is a different word entirely.

I agree... I've done some research and it seems python has updated everything... pygame is no longer available as a code for those with updated computers. How bout Java for now?... Ideas... join me on IRC, I'd really like to discuss this with everybody... seriously it's what it's there for.
