Adding onto Boldek's question list (which I like, by the way): Why do they all look like Emos? It would be cooler if they all looked... techy? I think that's the word I'm looking for. Now they all just look like edited Adepts.

@Atari: Unless you have a solution, don't complain

@Boldek: A tech faire is someone who has mastered magic and Technology to the limit.

Is anyone going to give feedback on my weapon pack?

Hey. Chill out. It's critique. Not a complaint. My solution, you ask? Make them look more techy. These guys look like what Bill Gates would have been if he joined a cult and made the Anarchysoft Company. They frankly (no pun intended) look like Dark Adepts.
As for the weapon pack, they look 2-D. Not sure if that is the intention, but it takes away from quality. They also have really dark outlines, making them look fake.

The drawbridge doesn't blend well with the keep.

Green stuff, just live with it.

---post 2----

It seems theproblem with the drawbridge is it dosen't look flat enough. It lookslike its halfway up already.

it looks pretty good, the only thing lacking style is I the color and pixels, but I think it would be an interesting bit of terrain.

A little better. I fixed a chain problem. I updated the wheels and made chains for someone to pull.

@Boldek: Thanks, I can't do but so much since I am not a terrain artist.

Anyone can use this for their UMC, if they tell me first.

Edit: Here is one bigger since units are big:

...why so red? Wait, before anything is mentioned about paint, how practical/realistic would a painted drawbridge be?

Other than that, there is currently nil shading on the chains and only oversized banding on the rest of the image, which makes the whole thing look very 2D. Choose a lightsource, find reference materials, understand how and why the highlights, midtones and shadows appear in certain areas of an object depending on its material, shape and size, then shade it. The results will look much more realistic.

Actually, i didn't plan to shade it.

But I might shade it, who knows. I really need to get back to EoTW though.

Er, actually, you already have shaded it, just not in a realistic way. Why not try to shade it correctly? It would give you some good practice, if nothing else. And, if I may employ the old adage, practice makes perfect.

Ok, I'll do it.

I need some help about the lighting in Wesnoth.

I started with no shading., I thought it might be a better way to start:

It should be shorter. The layover on a castle hex is rediculously out of proportion.
