[Complete] The Grand Tag! 2v2 Tournament - 3rd Edition!

Hi, regarding about participation.. and other stuff, i think it would be nice for teams that they could play more times even if they loose a round .
Something more like a league, at least in first round, just like happens in football, Paxe and me played merely two games, and we would have like to play some more games, maybe in next tgt that aspect could be improved

It is really easy follow TGT 3ed thanks to your quick updates, comfortable to read tournament table and usefull links to replays.

We just finished our game against Mystery Knights.

Unfortunatally we won it, so we have to play a third game.
This will be played today (08.10.) at 6 PM GMT (8 PM GMT +2 / 2 PM EST).

This game was from my perspective very great. Not because it was flawless, but because we did a lot of mistakes and both teams run at critical points out of timer. If I find time I will post a more detailed description later. But I will already give you the replay from my point of view.

Just for you to remember it was Loyalists and Drakes against Knalgan and Undead.

i like to comment on that game: i didnt see it live, but the replay says it clearly enough: the UD had always a "you lead, i follow" position. that means, whenever there was a fight in the center (that the west controled), ud had always a limited amount of possibilities to attack the attackers - in which case, the attackers tried to present only "bad" possibilities. i found it kind of hard for the east to really do anything about the situation because they had very few units that could cross the river quick enough to make a difference. then, the skeleton armada at the end of the game was easy prey for a combination of mage&cav that could pick its fights. was realyl entertaining because, as Dreadnough already said, it was far from perfect

our own game will take place either spontaneously in the evening (20 gmt berlin time) or fr/sa/so 20:00 berlin time (but we are still discussing).

Come on! That's against the spirit of the tournament - more good games the better the universe. Hope an official TGT3 vice-tgt-admin beer will give you some energy to make an entertaining sudden death final quarter-finals match.

Actually both of us tend to consume fishes once in a while, you're just a training subject for our babies!

Well, we were defeated today. I want to thank The Noughty Wookies for very good games. I wish them well in future games.

There was no shame in our play. Though we lost again, I feel like we are capable of winning vs anybody. We don't always win, but we always compete hard.

Despite several mistakes on our part (Dreadnough forgot to take an initial village and forgot to move a unit or two) we Wookiees executed a strong chaotic rush the first night, taking the Loyalists' territory/villages and gaining a kill. A sneaky village-stealing bat distracted Cutler's Undead in the north, and while Mystery Knights inflicted heavy damage with their leaders in the south, we managed to maintain a small kill and income advantage for the entire game. Soon Rodgers' Loyalists were too low on units and income to be a threat, and our superior numbers began to take their toll. Rodgers left the game and Cutler soldiered on alone. As Cutler's token defenders in the north collapsed while we continued to trade units in the south, Cutler surrendered.

I have rewrited long parts of code to do with macros wich I did with "copy/paste brute force". Now code is quite readable and could be reused in future TGT editions.
I also added some little interface details I havent time to code for 3rd edition, like information on traits of units and close dungeons.

summer is reluctantly fading away and fierce winter is slowly creeping in. With it, the TGT also becomes fiercer, as only 4 teams remain...
