Hi

I recently bought Wesnoth, and you did a very good job porting it to Android. I'm playing it on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and I wanted to ask, if it would be possible, to move the buttons, which appear when you hit the menu softkey during a game, to a place easier to reach, since a tablet has enough room for those buttons.

Also the game seems to have some problems (black screen, nothing else happening) to resume, after you minimized it with the home key. To continue, I have to force close the game in the options first.

Another happy purchaser on the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Only problem noted so far is that Honeycomb tablets (as well as some other devices) don't have a search key. Adding an alternate UI for navigating to the next ready unit in a future update would be much appreciated.

I am trying to install this game for the first time and it was downloading the initial files fine until I came across this error:

"Error downloading data from data_core_music.tar"

Is this a download server error maybe - something that may fix itself soon? Or perhaps something I need to change on my side?

I saw another user with this error, so it's not just me. (His question was unanswered)

Thanks!

Restarting the application worked for me.

Problem solved.

To anyone else with this problem - I was using an older version of this game rather than the most recent one. Update to the most recent one and problem solved. Enjoy, this is a great game

The port is very descent, it works smoothly on my Samsung Galaxy S phone. The only thing I found annoying was a small font in the sidebar (info about selected unit). I also noticed one "bug" which is nothing, but since it got my attention, I will post it: when you select a savegame from the list, it scrolls to the current element (which is always on bottom). It looks pretty weird and at first it's confusing, since I had to make sure I've selected the right item. I think it should keep the same scroll position after selecting a savegame.

I've got only one question: do you intend to add addons support?

Congratulations and keep up the good work.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but under which license is the Android port being published?

Are there any plans to include BfW in free software Android repositories such as f-droid? It would be great for those of us who use alternative android distributions (e.g. CyanogenMod) and do not have access to Google's proprietary Android Market.

If not, could someone please point me to where could the source of the Android port of BfW be found, so that I could do the packaging myself?

Oh I am both happy and fearful of this release. Could mean a lot of BFW for me!

Again, great job ! :D

My wish list for it to be perfect :
- foreign language support
- status table for knowing enemy gold
- shortcut for enemy move (I'm playing on Transformer with keyboard :P )

Is there any way to get the full version using PayPal? I tried getting it off the market, but didnt see a Paypal option there.

Hi,

I started looking for this when I got my first android device (quite late, april this year), I've been googling it every now and then and was thrilled to find this tread. So I installed the free version as soon as I found it and it works grate on my Transformer. When I knew it worked I installed the paid version as well, Quality deserves support ;) ! So firstly thanks for the port, awesome!

Secondly I'd like to ask about multiplayer, although I play a campain every now and then I mostly play wesnoth as a social game over local network with friends. The free version says multiplayer will be available in the paid version in october, and the paid version says september. So I'm looking forward to it but I was wondering if it will support connecting to (or even hosting) a server, or if "Hotseat" is going to be implemented first?

Also I'm seeing the homescreen bug that others have been mentioning. I have to restart my tablet to get it to display again if I accidently press home. Other than that I'm quite happy with it :) So thanks again for the port.

EDIT: typo
