After the Fall of Wesnoth

I'm thinking, maybe I could create a campaign about after the supposed Third sun fell and "almost" destroyed Wesnoth.

I haven't thought of the plot but it could almost be like a ruined world with a very low population.

Any thoughts?

well, keep in mind any existing campaigns you need to maintain and how much time it takes.

what sort of feedback did you want? you can check the Writers Forum for a recent topic on the Fall itself and there are lots of clues in UtBS and following UMC about how badly the world was destroyed.

I only maintain the campaign "Sos".

I'll go look up the fall itself.

Edit: Can someone give me an Idea of the current history? I don't want to interfere with current campaigns.

Whoa. :shock:

Ruined lands, destruction, and a big hole in the middle of Weldeyn.

I imagine the alliance between Elves,humans,orcs :shock: , and undead(Mal Keshar!!!) is still running.

I also Imagine Vulcans(come on, they live near Wesnoth) are blasted by stones and beaten up by the choas empire too. I can also assume Loyalist and elves stopped fighting with Vulans since they made an alliance undead orcs.

So the way to make a new campaign is to have a new enemy, anyone has ideas?

There might be still some drakes but not too many and scattered into small groups and rare

I imagine there's still chaos refugees,shaxthals, and underground dwarves too.

hmm, how about having a campaign about a bunch of vulcans bring down the second sun into the sea, and save the world? probably will be eaten faster than another apocalyptic wanderer story. there was also alot of monsters, scorpions, ogres, random spirits, and bandits, inside of utbs

I don't want this to be based on Vulcans, it's not a campaign about them.

And why do they need to destroy a sun, it would swallow the Wesnoth earth?

This is about the one time you can introduce Vulcans without making everybody (very) cross.

After the fall is a good time to introduce new races. You don't have to worry about why nobody has ever encountered them before, you can disregard politics and old alliances. If you're ever going to do a Vulcan campaign, this is the time to do it.

the second sun is an artificial creation, a "mountain set on fire" or something. it would be more like a comet.

I want to introduce Vulcans in other campaigns.

I want Khalifate to be in this campaign too.

Maybe we could introduce a long forgotten race of doom creatures or something.

Common early mistake. Don't try to include every race into the campaign. A lot of the campaign then becomes very arbitrary. Focus on one or two enemies, maybe along with some mercenaries along the way, but focus on those.

I want to include Default+Khalifate units and the Choas,Shaxthal, and Vulcan empire.

+ some dome monsters.

Here is an outline of a story:
After rocks fell and a big hole was made in Weldyn it arises a doom creature who spawns doom infectors.

Does this campaign take place right after the fall? Or some years afterwards?
