Sure you can. What do they look like? What do they do? To me, they look a bit like giant flightless birds, like ostrich, emu, cassowary. Or a type of dinosaur, maybe Allosaurus. I'd avoid calling them "mechs," I think it's a bit of a science fiction cliche.

Well, real name of tank is ST-1 (Siege Tank 1). Siege is synonym for the throne, isn't it?

No, a siege is a military operation in which enemy forces surround a town or building, cutting off essential supplies, with the aim of compelling the surrender of those inside. Nothing to do with a throne. (edit: in the english language, I mean)

The word Siege does mean Seat in an archaic context, as in the Siege Perilous or Perilous Seat, from Arthurian mythology, but that connotation isn't used commonly nowadays and naming a unit Siege Whatever would be interpreted more in the military meaning of the word Siege than the historical meaning.

Siege Tank isn't StarCraft only term but we'll try to change it.
