That Swordsmaster is elite...

The head and the mouth will be larger in the sprite and some detail will be lost :-) but this is the idea.

Cool! Appeared at a great time, too, since I was looking for a new unit.
Great work, keep it up!

Suggestion and request in one: Have the Nightgaunt be a separate unit, make the Shadow be somewhere in power between Wraith and Spectre. (The plan is Wraith-->Spectre right?)
Reason: I'm looking for a decent 'flag' unit to generate in special circumstances, not gainable normally, that will be used for a scenario where Gwiti must move 3 'flag' units to special points.

I could create a new unit fot that instead of "wasting" a planned unit :-)
What kind of flag units do you have in mind?

The 'flag unit' description will require the level details:
Gwiti discovers that an ancient book was sealed away by mages, to regain it he must enter the Forest Shrine and call on 3 'insert undead power here', then ensure that they move safely to the 3 wards that maintain the spell, then the book will be released.
I suppose you're right about making a new one. Here are the stats, and just sketch it if you like, it won't need an attack or defense animation since its not meant to fight.

hp: 20
regen, invisible.
Move: 6
No attacks
Defense 70% in all areas
heals/cures (whichever one is 4 hp) on undead units.

Something like a black-red ball with the undead-shadow's eyes might be good. I made a practise one in 1min in Powerpoint/Paint, and that's what I'll be using, tho. Having a unit that pops up in 1 mission so far is less important than having more advances for existing units IMHO.

People talked about having as goblin banner carrier, which could provide leadership to (or was it heal) surrounding units, but itself was very weak. This sounds a bit like the undead equivalent, and since the undead don't have a healer yet, it sounds really useful. Although shouldn't even a really weak unit have some attack, in case they get in a tight spot? Have people though of an undead healer unit yet? An attack would be nice if we ever want to level it up to level 2.

No, the new unit I'm evisioning isn't a banner carrier, it's a spell-sphere of dark magic, made to destroy enemy magic. I made my own.
It doesnt have an attack, cos it isnt meant to level up. What does a spell level to?

no healer for undead... yet.
in my small notebook there are some drwings of a strange guy dressed with bones...
Bonecrafter, skilled not only in mending bones, the but also in the dark energies that animate the undeads
Level 2 no advancenment, "heal" 4hp/turn only for undeads, advance from Adept so is a choice between him and necromancer...
medium melee crush damage (a bit more than necromancer), Pierce (or crush) ranged attack in the form of bonesplinters (no magic aim).. a bit more health than necromancer, he's still a living being.

I'm glad you have an idea for an undead healer, it makes sense that he'd be a alternative for the necromancer, upgraded for the dark adept. Eventually it would be good to get some level 3 units, for later missions in the undead campaign.

A unit suggestion..

Post by azlan »

I have a suggestion for a unit.. I should not be able to attack, only defend and that not good. Only for humans, and carrying a flag for morals. And give better attack for units on the same team(humans) that are close by..

Do you understand?

Awesome! That looks really cool. (of course the little red ball looked nice too ;-). Too bad it's only going to be used for one level, it's a simple yet beautiful unit. I can't wait to see it in action. I guess all it needs is a defensive stance, since it can't attack.
