Post by Faello »

TGT Announcement

Semi-Finals of The GRAND TAG! have begun!

Image
TGT admin Faello instructs mortals that have passed to the Semi-Finals of the TGT

Ladies & gentlemen,

From the original 16 teams, only 4 now remained:

1)Still undefeated, evil Noob Leavers team made by grzywacz and deekay
2)Insidious Random Noob Gamers neki & Dauntless
3)Ducks of Doom, last of the 2vs2 Brotherhood in TGT, made by alpha1 and MrHase
4)North&South, team of well known ladder vets plk2 and Nordmann, that was already out, but through the heroic struggle, is still in.

Let the best 2 teams advance to the Finals of the TGT :!:

LOL! Nice spicy comments, guys!

@Faello: loved the videos, especially the ones for Dauntless and for Dukies.

@alpha1: it looks like Duckies beat the crap out of North and South in order to advance to the semi-finals to enjoy a thrilling match vs.... North and South ?! Duckies, make sure u beat them again so we can meet you in the finals, I'll laugh out loud while playing you :).

@grzywacz and deekay: Sunday, 11:00 AM GMT, Judgement Day for you!

@all: mai ia hi mai ia ho mai ia hu mai ia ha ha ha :)

In wesnoth one can never be really sure who will win and who will lose. It's therefore quite possible that our teams will never face each other, should Gods of fate decide so... Yet fear not, dude, for there is still hope! If both our teams lose next round than we can still fight each other for the 3rd place! I therefore suggest deliberately losing the semi-finals in order ensure that RNG vs DoD game will actually take place. This goal shouldn't be hard to achieve, since everyone always tries to win yet nobody tries to lose, haha!

love under the linden tree!!!! while i was serving my term in the military, i was in the truck while this song was at its peak, and all of them were singing while we were driving from the barracks to austrians eastern border: "vreeeshta pleeeshta wir foan nach buddapeeschta" meaning we are driving to budapest. one of the very few things that were fun during that time.

Hello TGT people.

Unfortunately I've come to notice a big problem with the method for working around the DC bug that is described on the first page of this thread. When you play the replay until the dc happened and then make a save from there, all units get fresh mp like they should but the player doesn't get his gold income from this turn. I'm assuming that it is like that in 2v2 games too but I'm not sure (only noticed in 1v1 games). Obviously this has some impact for the 1v1 ladder too because the method is spreading. The only workaround I know apart from manipulating the save directly is redoing the turn before the dc happened. :(
It's time 1.9 becomes stable...

Empowered by the luck of... DOOM, DoD managed to win their first game of this round vs North & South (double orcs over dwarf/UD on loris). Next game will approximately take place on Sunday 13th 17:30-18:00 GMT.
