no artist suggestion, the movement would seem more powerfull if he used his body weight to smash his target instead of his shoulder strength... I.e he should have his whole shoulder/upper body drop much more

While I don't have free time enough to tinker with the animation, I do have enough to make a simpler baseframe for Espreon.

seems like her left (our right) leg is shifted a little too much to the right, maybe I guess it's the boot upper ending getting the blame, it makes it lose the angle we see on the partially done frame and look like that leg was going straight up

As you can tell, I shifted artistic gears rather abruptly halfway through this piece. I'm thinking of it as some sort of a cybernetic shapeshifter-nanomite glob. Use a darker forum skin to see the glowy circles.

The bottom part is hot.

He looks like a teenager bigger than an ancient wose by wesnoth proportions. And the sword looks like it should be a short sword for a giant. Compared to the handle, the blade is very short. Other than the proportions it looks pretty awesome though.

your 'sprites' are getting bigger and bigger. I'm starting to wonder when they'll start fitting to call them portraits :D

It should be pretty obvious that this sprite isn't designed to conform with any facet of Wesnoth. That said, I suppose increases in canvas size come with slowly increasing skill.

Yeah, lately I came to the same conclusion.

If you like, call them "Works of Pixelart" or something equally lofty instead of sprites. My stuff conforms to both categories.
