Uhh.. I got bored...?

You know, I wonder how a Fire-Emblem-gameplay based campaign will fare in Wesnoth. Minimal recruiting and complete focus on character development and upgrading.

Lol, something like that was among my numerous now-abandoned, never-released projects.
And it was totally Fire Emblem. No recruiting, just getting units throughout the course of the campaign. Each unit had slots for weapons and different types of weapons that could be used. And it had randomized-statistical-advancement (not sure what to call it) just like FE. But like the half-dozen other dead projects that never left my hard drive, it's abandoned now...

Also, remember this guy? He didn't stop existing or anything. I picked him back up again and gave him a spine and cooler claws.

Still don't know how I'm going to turn it into a lich, though.

This isn't the right word at all, but I'll just use it for the lack of a better one.
It's a very naked skeleton sprite. By which I mean, it doesn't fit with the style of the rest of wesnoth's undead, in that most (all?) of them have robes or cloth of some kind.
Perhaps you intended it like that, but I just thought I'd point it out.
Not that it matters- it's an awesome sprite either way. :D

That's what I mean. I'm not too sure how to apply clothes and regalia, and even more critically the staff.

Oh, I didn't realize that's what you were referring to with the lich comment. I see now.

BTW this quite a long set of quick, consecutive replies.

Instead of a robe you could likely add a Scarf or Cape type thing... maybe torn up a bit.
Also maybe this lich is so powerful it doesn't need a staff...?
Perhaps his powers has been imbedded into his bones rather than a stick!

Could I use it for my era?

Sure, ok.

I got bored. It's semipillowed on the blade part and overall not very impressive. No idea why I drew this thing up.

or maybe a team-colored armband.

if you want to make it look more magically powerful but want to keep it naked, maybe a dark magic glow or flame behind its body and head?
i am afraid that the dark magic being required to be purple, it would not quite do the teamcoloring trick, though.
maybe some animated team-colored sparks?
campaign ruthless in your nearest 1.11 add-on server
some wesnoth-related drawings

...Not very impressive.
*cough* *cough* *sure* *cough*
If you think that that isn't impressive you must be mad, it's very cool.

yes it is, but that sphere on the bottom looks a bit off..like..shifted too much to his front, or not wide enough

as for the 'lich' - make his skull a bit more worn down, add a thumb-claw to on of the hand (that should help him hold something like a staff) and throw in some tattered rags..and glowies, add glowies! :D
Like cats? I've made a whole faction of them to kick ass with!

Does anyone remember an old Armageddon Drake WIP I posted a while back? A-Red took over before I finished my baseframe and I kinda dropped the project.

Then the new Fire Dragon came by and I thought "Might as well apply the new pallete and finish it."

I think it looks pretty cool. The wings look strange though, and I might just reposition them if someone can tell me exactly what's wrong with them.

It seems that they're both facing the same way. The left one (our right) might look better flipped.
