It's raised in both ends, and the mast is more centeredturin wrote:Looks good, but i can't really see the weapon. perhaps outline it a bit more?

Actually they used a lot of different types of ships.

I compared my marauder-warrior next to a orc-grunt and WHOA!!! It was like 1/2 smaller! here is my edit which is 2 pixels higher and some small edits... I`ll make the scout larger too, but it can wait
For the berserker I`m ripped apart; it is either two morning stars or two axes, the morning star is cooler but axe is more viking...

how do you wield two morning stars without having them wrap around each other?

They look good.
Are you using Gimp? Remember that the shadow should be translucid, not opaque (you can do it by 'erasing' it with the rubber but specifying an opacity lesser than 100 (around 40 gives good results).
Also, you should make the weapon more visible, either by changing its color or the stance. At first sight, I thought he was holding a wooden stick
. I recommend you to make the legs around 2~3 pixels taller, or make smaller boots. It should make the unit look more 'wesnotish'. (look how Fmunoz did it with the elvish line for reference on those suggestions)

A good idea. Also, Neoriceisgood drew some ice units. Could they be used in Northern Winter? The moose rider looked good.Dave wrote:I think these units could be used in Heir to the Throne as enemies in the wild north lands, to give the player a break from endless hordes of orcs.

There's some irony in saying what I'm about to in reference to this quote, but oh well. A morning star is a mace; specifically, a mace with a spiked, rather than smooth head. The spiked ball-and-chain weapon that one often thinks of as being a morning star is more properly known as a spiked flail.Morning star. This is a game, and whats cool is infinately more important than what's real.

Tecnicality. Morning star is a cooler name, and its what people associate with a big spiked ball on a chain. It honestly doesn't matter what we call it though, and thanks for the correction.wildfyre010 wrote: A morning star is a mace; specifically, a mace with a spiked, rather than smooth head. Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the drug store, but that's just peanuts to space.

You don't use them like nunchucks. The point is not to spin them around, but to get around your oponents sheild.turin wrote:how do you wield two morning stars without having them wrap around each other?

Additionally, the whip action of any such weapon allows you to magnify your output of force.
A plain old bullwhip can punch right through leather armor, if the guy wielding it knows how to use it.
"Two Morning Stars" is a kinda dumb setup, though - even if he did not have a shield, he might have a knife or something solid in the other hand - but not likely a morning star.
There might be a few guys who would learn such a setup, but most wouldn't bother - it doesn't payback in effectiveness.

Very true. The vast majority of two-weapon fighters use a smaller weapon in their off-hand (Katana w/ Wakizashi, Rapier w/ Dagger or Cloak, etc.)... But hey, WINR (Wesnoth is not realistic).Jetryl wrote:Additionally, the whip action of any such weapon allows you to magnify your output of force.
