NUmber one, thats a very akward pose... I tried it myself, have you? Two, I understand you want to convey a shadowed area on his back etc., but the purple you are using is way to saturated.

My impression is more Metroid than Iron Man, actually. Are those meant to be (future) wings?
It's spelled "definitely", not "definately". "Defiantly" is a different word entirely.

Uhh... It's rocket wings. I'm not sure how that works, but it's what the source material says. Source material also included rocket boots, rocket boards, and rocket packs. I decided to make a rocket armor using the artistic motif of the rocket items.

I'm so disappointed that nobody gets the reference...

Continued work. I think my shading is beginning to break down into lower qualities as I get tired, but I'm close to the end here.

I got the reference. There was also a rocket-chair, which you didn't mention.

Current version. I'm taking an extended break from this now, because I'm not sure how I'm goign to do the wings. Large flat surfaces are a friggin' pain to shade in pixels...

My first impression of this thing was a Arcade Boss, or Fighting game thing...
That is until I saw this face... Now I have no idea what to think of it.

Thanks for your advice. I'll be sure to change my artistic motivation to conform with your generic vision of a dude wearing sci-fi armor.

1 pixel width line <> lipps.
Breaks the general very good sprite. I would try to indicate them more with the shading.

8) Love the lighting on this guy. The one thing that bothers me is his (or her?) right wing seems smaller than his left. :hmm:

Isn't it from a comics or a manga ? The position of the body recalls me something...

Banalbano: You could be thinking of Iron Man.
by Marvel comics

About the actual sprite: Looks cool (though the wings are fairly flat) but the head looks like an afterthought, and doesn't seem to fit the sprite.
