Shadowmaster has many accounts, not only 2, I can name 3 out of the top of my head, but there are more, so he said. So... yeahz.

I don't see the point of a new account, unless you want a new name, which any admin can simply change.

shadowmaster probably is allowed to because he's a developer. I think he uses one (or some) to test board stuff?

And for clever lock posts. Like on your "Three word story" topic, he used ShikadiLord, followed by his normal account, to lock it right at 1000 posts.

Reason no 1: to ensure that you have someone inteligent to talk to. (Oh wait, I got banned for that)
Reason no 2: you may not be the person you are posting as, hence your forum persona could be a ficitonalised character you are trying to develop, and not just a wish-fulfilment type of character, an actual person.
Reason no 3: If you are a moderator, forum regular or mainstream contributor, a certain degree of maturity is expected from you, you may not always want be so mature without compromising the position you have been given. Also, despite our wonderfully charismatic moderators, developers, forum regulars and mainstream contributors, people may really have difficulty expressing themselves to such persons who may need compay just like you and me.
Reason no 4: for some reason you may not be able to log in to your account and might need to post something or do your bit with regards to someting you are colaborating with someone on.
Spoiler:
You know you've been playing Wesnoth too long and been on the fourms too long when you get busted for having mulitple accounts and one of them is closed and your first thought is "What a pity, I'll miss him!"
...apparenly we can't go with it or something.

1. Talking to yourself? Sure, it could be fun to fool people, but still...
2. Sure,
3. I mentioned admins/developers etc, but Mods aren't always serious and whatnot. They joke, they do regular stuff.
4. Contact an admin? IDK

I'm not entirely sure, but more members means more memory taken up right? (I don't know the right words for these things, I haven't hosted my own site or anything before) Although with the thousands of lurkers...that's not much of a problem...

The amount of memory taken up by a single user, particularly a relatively inactive one, is minimal, Hula. I use more every time I upload an image for crit.

By "lurker", I meant more like, the thousands of people that have made accounts and never used them (or don't anymore).

Anyway, back on topic again:

237. You remember when The Dark Hordes was mainline (I do)
238. You want The Dark Hordes to be mainline again

me too.

Again I concur (strongly!)

239. Wesnoth becomes such an integral part of your daily life that you take it for granted and forget to mention it even on threads which are specifically about how you know you've been playing Wesnoth too long, concentrating more on who's who in the zookeeper instead.

i only have this account!

240. ...you transform into a Lich so you can play Wesnoth for all eternity.
After far too long an absence, I have returned.
According to the quiz 100% Silver Mage (85% Archmage, 75% Shyde, 67% Flameheart and Ancient Wose,58% Assassin, Troll Warrior and Berserker). And my top score is exactly how I see myself.

Nice try but this uncovers your lie!
Cybermouse wrote:203. You don't eat, sleep, or breathe anymore. You just play Wesnoth. Eventually you die and become a lich, although you don't really notice. But being a lich is only a cool bonus. The main thing is that you can now play Wesnoth nonstop for eternity.
