I don't think the ooze awakening had any storyline importance, but the last few levels were awesome nd would love to see more of it (the part of once you get into the city and then defending it)

There is a sequel in the 1.8 add-on library; maybe http://www.wsrsw.org/ could help you?

oh hey just as a minor bug

healthy in the iphone port just allows you to move and 'rest' while in the computerized one its always healing health

might want to fix that maybe

I'm not sure I understood what you said. In my own experience healthy works the same in computer and iphone. Care to elaborate further?

The "healthy" trait was changed some times between 1.6 and 1.8 (during the 1.7 development cycle). As the current iPhone version is based on 1.6, they have the old version (giving you +2 when you did not attack nor get attacked in the previous turn), while the new version gives you +2 every turn.

Huh? No no, that's not right... I don't think. ANY normal unit gets 2 HP back if it didn't move or attack, but healthy units ALWAYS gain 2 HP, regardless of whether they attacked or moved....

...right?

So, to clarify a bit:
In 1.6, healthy units got +2 when moving (or not), but not when attacking (or getting attacked). Additionally, there was something special about poison for them (look for even older entries about "healthy").

In 1.8, the poison specialty was abolished, and they now get +2 every turn (if not already at full health), regardless of fighting.

In both versions, non-healthy units get +2 when they do nothing for a turn.

Captain_Wrathbow wrote:What are your standards for adding campaigns to the iPhone port? How do you select which campaigns qualify and which don't? Your standards are obviously more lax than mainline, since IftU and the RPG-ish Ooze Campaign both made it in.
1. Popular in terms of downloads and user comments. Both IftU and Ooze were named many times as people's favorite campaigns.
2. Easy to port. This means not an overwhelming number of custom unit graphics or terrain

Please make suggestions of what campaigns you would like to see!

Is there a way to check and/or change the difficulty level on the iPhone port? I started a campaign and don't remember what level I started it at. It's too easy and I suspect I started it at novice as I was learning Wesnoth...now I'd like to bump it up to Normal. Can this be done or do I need to start a new campaign?

Hello,

I just bought Battle for Wesnoth on my Iphone 4, and I am getting major display errors with every campaign I try to start. The loading screen shows, then it overlays the text boxes and map over the loading screen. It's one big jumbled mess and I can't play. I was really excited about this game too! Anyone else having the same problem and/or have a fix for me?

Thank you very much,

Mitch

I've recently upgraded to the iPhone 4, and Wesnoth seems to be working fine for me. It seems like the platform isn't quite as standardized/consistent as one might expect.

Speaking of the iPhone 4, are there any plans to update Wesnoth for the Retina Display™ and/or the new Game Center included with iPhone OS 4.1?
