Alrighty, final WIP version before it's done. Pretty much everything is in, all that's left to do is some final color glazing and lighting. And some final details on the hair and such.

I've considered tweaking the pose of her right hand, but for now I'm going to leave that be (this thing has taken long enough!).

I can already hear that cold, hollow metallic sound when she waves that thing up in the air and swings it at me... *shiver* o_0
I will now resume lurking silently.

Do you think if we drink EVILEST's blood we will gain similar talents?
Ignore me, I'm not a real person anyway.

aaaaaahh that is soooo coooool. that hairdo is pure win. armor detail is amazing. claymore is huge. pauldron is perfect, not too huge or small for her epicness. my oh my, great detail.

i'm excited to see what you do next. i forgot if you mentioned it, but do you plan on giving all vampires portraits?

Nonsense, the outline looks good.

Hurts the fine hair lines in my opinion.

Ok, a 400x400 version as required.

The outline around the hairdo does look pretty thick, but for the moment I'm going to leave things as they are. It's tough to cut the outline on the hair closer without losing bits of hair or running into aliasing (you can probably tell that cleaning up the outline is my least favorite part of working on a piece!). I wouldn't mind if the portraits had no outlines, but then there might be problems with in-game readability. The moment the image is shown on top of a light background, any bright edges on the image might become difficult to see.

I hope to take care of all the Vampires. For the moment, I'll probably not paint any gender duplicate portraits, so no female Noble or male level 4... not soon, anyways (unless someone is in a dire need of them!). I'll throw in the occasional Devling portrait, and I might get around to doing some Celestials and Windsong.

Not the blood. I imagine if you ate my heart and liver, a little bit of my spirit might be passed on :hmm: (eat them raw, right from the chest cavity to keep the essence intact). I think transplanting the right hand might help too... But it's an awful lot of trouble for very little gain. If this was Caravaggio or some other classical artist's heart/liver/hand, then we'd be in business!

So, on to the next Vampire, the Flesh Artisan.

As I've had a few questions regarding the construction of my portraits, I figured that I might as well save more WIP images on this piece.

I actual know. I just want to mention that the outlines don't do the portraits the justice they deserve.

No worries! The portrait has been uploaded in its original size, so it's there for anyone wants the image in a larger format (with the original black background).

And... to continue the updates on the Flesh Artisan. Hopefully I'll be able to finish him later today or tomorrow.
