EoS is looking fairly dead (makes sense, since I haven't been around for a long time)
I may toss you some new sprites for the Eventide, and take a look at the WML of them to see why some attack frames are not rendering. Either way, it's a pleasure to see them still alive in one form or another.

I am also thinking about doing this for the Swarm line and/or the Weaver line. I have added a new unit to the Lamia line as well to get another level 3 unit.
I have done some other minor things too. Any questions or suggestions?
And it would be nice if there is a level 3 feyborn witch, which I found strange that it doesn't have level 3 whereas human/loyalist mage have level 4.

Saphy: Really? I must have missed that. I will add them to Ageless RPG Era immediately. I will also see what I can do about the Feyborn line. I might mess with the Yokai a little while I do this.

Thanks mnewton1. There is also a problem with the sprites images for windsong not showing up on Linux machine, and I found that it is because the folder name is Windsong instead of windsong (lower case w).mnewton1 wrote:Saphy: Really? Just as a note to some of IPS's stuff for Mercs.
Floating Swords may look ridiculously good, but they are infact, not that durable. Ghosts are similar, in that they are easily dispatched with anything that has a ranged attack, but swords don't have drain, which is why they have higher resists and more health. They don't even have ranged attacks if you don't get it to level 4.
Your argument towards Mutilated Corpses forgot the Arcane weakness, though I'll admit not all factions have that, most factions have impact -or- arcane. In general, lots of units in Mercs have resists more than the average faction though, due to the large number of ghost-likes and superheavies. For instance, the reductors heavy advancement with 3mp. I haven't noticed any units that are extremely difficult to dispatch for any of the mercs faction matchups, that don't have some handicap or another.
Just my opinion though. You might wanna talk to Golbeeze, he paid more attention to balance than me.
And The Cult has no cavalry, or flying units. Thusly they required a unit with 8mp, the Lookout. Lets just say they're magically enhanced like all the other sewer-dwelling cultists, and thusly can run as fast as a horse. Because they're not getting a horse unit, or a flying unit.

If I remember correctly the foodpad has 8 mp, too, so that does not seem ridicoulous to me.

According to the quiz 100% Silver Mage (85% Archmage, 75% Shyde, 67% Flameheart and Ancient Wose,58% Assassin, Troll Warrior and Berserker). And my top score is exactly how I see myself.

Well, the problem of the swords is some factions don't have arcane or fire... like Ouwtlaws and Knalgans, so, them haves always troubles to kill a floating sword. But, the player shouldn't do a spam of them because their offensive is low, and you can atack them by ranged. Swords dies easly with arcane or fire, but if you try with impact, pierce or impact, you will do not get beautiful ressults... a sword can survive for 2 hp like and after restore in 3 turns.
Dart, is a bit overpowered, 10-2 charge for only 18 of gold is really nice, horseman does 9-2 charge for 23 of gold. Both have the same hp, Horseman haves SOME ressistances in his favour, but, the Dart flies, haves a weak ranged atack, but have a ranged atack... If a unit haves like 2 or 1 hp, you can try with 3 hits to kill it with a Dart (but you should try with a Pigeon, who haves 5 strikes of 2 of dammage).
Rider from Mercenaries faction, is a bit unpowered, 32 hp and the same dammage than calvaryman like weak. Yeah, it haves 40% res to blade instead 30% from calvary and haves a weakness to pierce of 10%, but, 6 hp less than the calvaryman likes a bit less equal than a loyalist calvary for 1 more coin... If it haves a hp of 38 I would say it's balanced.
Hunter from Mercenaries Faction, I think it should cost 17 because it's an elvish archer with 1 more mele strike and, with 2 more hp if I'm right. Hunter haves 60% def on Forest and 50% on swamp, so with a price of 17 I think them are ok.
Bladesmen for Fanatic faction should cost 14 because it's an orcish grunt with 10% res to blade and fire, 60% in sand squares. You just remmind, some maps don't haves sand, and if some haves sand, it will do not be much.
Waiter from the Cult faction, should cost 17, I know... It can ambush in forested and swamp squares, but it's an archer with 70% def in swamp and forest squares, with 3 less hp and 10% of weakness to blade and impact... An elvish archer does it much better in forest, but not with ambush

I downloaded the ageless era just now, and that's what I mean.
Aragwaith lost their face! Their spirit was that they had little hp, but great damage. Now, the damage only have archer and swordman, and only until lvl 2. Then, the damage becomes the same as those of other factions, but hp is also small.
And where Level 4 flagbearer??
How to understand that the lvl 2 and lvl 3 longswordsman and swordmaster have the same hp 48???
Spearman cost 15, but now hes damage only !!!20!!! and no resist!! It is very unbalanced comared with loyalists spearman!
Scout cost 18 gp, but only 20 damage and NO armor (and the cavalry from loyalists cost only 17 gp with high armor)!!
Warlocks again have low damage even at level 2!
Why swordman costs 16 gp? He has 24 damage, while the spearman loyalists 21+6 for 14 gp!
Eagle rider cost 23, but he is MORE weaker than griffon rider for 24 gp! Real price for eagle is only 21-22 gp!

Spearman is unpowered. 10-2 pierce firststrike and 38 hp to cost 15.... Loyalist spearman haves 36 hp and 7-3 pierce firststrike and haves 6-1 ranged... I think, their spearman should have 10% res to blade and pierce to cost 15 and maybe 39 hp? No arcane res?? Very weird :/
