OK. No offense intended, btw... it's just that I tend to err on the side of caution when dealing with legal matters. :)

What do ya'll think of the story so far? If it's not working, try updating it. I made more changes this afternoon.

Yeah, but you asked for a 1.8 version, but it already exists.

Not to backseat mod, but there was no worthwhile point to your post. The OP had already decided to upgrade the campaign to 1.8, as he stated in one of his earlier posts. Please stop and think whether or not your post is meaningful and relevant before you post it. :)

okay, okay. I think he gets it now. At least, I hope so. :eng: back to topic now? "yol." I got a question for people playing the campaign. Is anybody having trouble pronouncing the names?

Good. I was worried that the names would be hard for some people to pronounce, now I don't have to worry about that. :)

@Knight-Mare, only ten? There should be eleven. Update your add-on. Do it now. You know you want to. :D

The twelfth scenario is in the works, should be up by Monday or Tuesday. I think I might end up having 17 or 18 scenarios now.
Sincerely,

I tried the 1.8 version and ran into an error in The Heart of Orcish Armies scenario (see attachment).
The "Goblin Rider" is a recruit you added for NORMAL and HARD, but such a unit doesn't exist.
I played on "Chieftan (Not so Easy)" mode, but it was still easy.
The whole ice age thing is a nice idea, with the mammoth and all.

Found the problem. I put "Goblin Rider" in the coding when I should have put "Goblin Knight". If you have any suggestions turn-wise or gold-wise I can do to make the scenarios harder, they would be most welcome. I just made some long-needed changes to the sixth scenario that will add a tad to the difficulty. Thanks for the feedback.

Oh, by the way, the twelfth scenario is out and on the server. Still some events I haven't coded yet, but now you'll get the idea.

EDIT: Just realized that only one wolf and one cat were showing up for the first scenario. It was a latent issue from 1.6, but now has been fixed.

Okay, the eleventh scenario was just too easy.
That elephant bird stood right infront of my great chieftain unit and all had to do was to kill it.

Make the eleventh scenario a bit harder.
Suggestion:Put 5 Elephant birds and tell the player to hunt down four of them.

I agree it was too easy but I was being stubborn about recreating the map. (read on for my solution) I couldn't figure out how to code for "kill five elephant birds." However, I changed it so now the requirement is to "kill the leader of the elephant birds". My brother made up an awesome new map for the scenario, and I recoded the ai to run away from your units. Also threw in a large handful of other birds, some saber tooth tigers, a mammoth, and a couple wolves. It is infinitely better. Now how does it play?

I found the new elephant birds the only scenario that was hard enough: all your units are overpowered (except saber tooth kittens and saber tooth tigers). I managed to beat the campaign up to the elephant bird scenario with a total of one loss. ( I couldn't go any further because of a bug).

Hunters seem decent, but they have great resists, especially to cold (not that you see cold damage much) but at lvl 2 they get 28 melee and 24 ranged, while swordsmen in comparison do 32 melee damage with no ranged and a javelineer gets 24 melee and 22 ranged. Javelineers have 48 hp, swordsmen get 55 and skilled hunters have 60. (and at lvl 3 they get poison and great damage in both melee and ranged. They also take a huge amount of xp to lvl up to 3.)

Spies cost 13 gold and do as much damage as an elf fighter without backstab. They also have both skirmish and backstab. The thief, which costs 13 gold, does 15 damage rather than 20 with just backstab and no skirmisher. The thief also doesn't get a ambush or nightstalk at higher levels. The thief also has bad resists while a spy has relatively good ones.

You healers at lvl 1 are decent except for resists. At lvl 2 they do more damage than a lvl 3 silver mage and they also have healing and good resists, and at lvl 3 they get teleport and skirmisher, and are stronger than pikemen in melee with a really strong ranged.

Also there's an error with the return of shadows scenario: it says unknown unit type: death baron.
