No. Healing has never been cumulative in Wesnoth.pauxlo wrote:I think healing was cumulative in some early versionjayce wrote: Ah OK. Is this new ? I'm almost sure that I did it when playing on the Mac version (that was the 1.4 version).

One more bug: when you have to make the choice between elves or bandits in "The South Guard", the text in the choice boxes is cut off. This also happens with the choice in "A Tale of Two Brothers".

Uh, I'm pretty sure it was in 0.9.6, probably a bug.Dave wrote:No. Healing has never been cumulative in Wesnoth.

Anyway, the intended behavior has always been like the current - healing doesn't stack, except with resting.

There is a way to heal more than 8 hp in one full turn-but this requires having allies with healers. Basically healers heal all adjacent friendly units for 8(or 4) at the begining of their turns, so if two sides carefully coordinated their movements, units could be healed more than 8 hp per turn, but each incriment of 8 hp would be from a different player's turn.

Re: The official iPhone port thread
Just ran into a horrible bug. I finished Choice in the Fog (TSG), taking the bandit route. However, the loading bar for the next scenario, The Long March, froze when it reached the end. Quitting and then reentering Wesnoth caused the startup screen to freeze. Resetting the iPod allowed me to run Wesnoth, but the same thing happens when I try to load the start of scenario save.
Has anything similar happened to anybody else?
EDIT: I'm going to have to play through the fog again now, because my autosaves are set to delete on victory...

Re: The official iPhone port thread
Something like that happened, but it turned out to just be taking a REALLY long time to load.

Invasion from the Unknown Problems
Love the game. Had issues with the initial game (slow play or crashing) but was able to play through most of them. However, I have gotten to a point in "Invasion From the Unknown" where the game is basically unplayable.
I have made it to the "Over the Sands" Scenario, Turn 9 and the game is really slow during the enemies turn (understandable as there seems to be 6-8 enemy groups. This would be tolerable, but the game crashes consistently after about 5 minutes no matter what I do. Here are some of the actions I have taken:
I reboot my iphone every time before I begin playing Wesnoth.
I deleted 90% of my saved games and autosave and only have 11 previously saved games.
I downloaded the "Scan" program to try to free up some memory. The program says I have anywhere from 16-50 MB of free memory at different times.
I deleted 70% of the apps on my iphone.
I have the old 3G so I am not expecting miracles, but the games should run and not crash. I could live with a slow game, but the crashing is destroying the playable. Anybody have any ideas?

Re: The official iPhone port thread
That's happening to me on the North Elves level of Heir to the Throne, it has pretty much become unplayable. It takes like 3 minutes to load the scenario, and 2/3 times it crashes dring or immediately after it has finished loading. And if it doesn't crashthen, it crashes during the next turn.
Kyle seems to be working on fixes that will probably solve this problem, like getting rid ofthe replay feature, etc. And I look forward to it.

Re: The official iPhone port thread
so what seems to be the problem?
Re: The official iPhone port thread
Thanks for all the bug reports! I can confirm that most of these issues are solved in the next update, which will be submitted "any day now...."
Re: The official iPhone port thread
One more bug to add to your list: if a unit in your recall list has a long name (such as "Elvish Bodyguard" from The South Guard) it pushes the EXP column off the edge of the window, making it hard to see the EXP amounts for all units in the list. Perhaps you could make it so the unit name is cut off instead?

A similar display bug in the list of saves.Kaos wrote:One more bug to add to your list: if a unit in your recall list has a long name (such as "Elvish Bodyguard" from The South Guard) it pushes the EXP column off the edge of the window, making it hard to see the EXP amounts for all units in the list. Re: The official iPhone port thread
Maybe this is linked with a crash bug.jayce wrote: When units are "speeking" and the speech is long, we can't see the end of the speech, it is cutted at the end. In "Under the burning sun" there is a lot of this kind of "long dialogs".
I noticed that Wesnoth crash more often when there is some "dialogs" in the turn.
I dont't know if it is because of a memory problem due to the text lenght, but it could be.

Re: The official iPhone port thread
Very basic error- Units that are supposed to advance to AMLA don't have purple exp bars. I was stupid and leveled one up for... Um, testing purposes. Yeah, that's it. >.> And the bar stayed blue. Might be misleading, or just a cut-out feature.
