As hordes of angry orcs advanced he began to wonder if dwarves were the best choice.
incidentally, this game against zorro was one of my best blitzes ever and it fits PERFECTLY to the picture posted above.
weldyn channel is usually not so renown for his easy switch from the eastern to the western side, but in this case i had a grunt and a troll standing on the enemy keep at turn 7.
tough game on time in terms of timer and daylight dependency. he wanted to just "sit it out" and with a massive recruit (about 100 gold) almost got away with it!!!!

oh noes, u would miss something great.
first, i played under 1.6.4 and second, if u should encounter any problems with a savegame instead of a replay u can check a small box when loading the file.
1.6.4 replays work under every subversion of 1.6 i think. got different versions on different computers and all saves were compatible so far.

Hey guys, I joined (as an observer) a ladder game around turn 4, long enough to see some crazy guy successfully saurian blitz his opponent into submission- thereby winning the match. Although it becomes rather clear early on that red is crazy and perhaps just plain bad, one thing remains true- even a bad player can kill an exposed leader.
Also, I want it to be known that I am not a big saurian rusher. I am just impressed by any ladder match that is won by turn 5.
Also, I've been trying to figure out how to do a successful UD blitz.
Golden donkey award goes to anyone who can come up with a successful blitz tactic using UD forces on any of the 2 player maps. Extra points if it is done in a ladder game.

I saw an Undead rush a Drake on Sulla's the other day and take a permanent advantage during the first night. No replay available, though. Here's the game report, for what it's worth.

the game you mean is here, but not especially rushy in my opinion. he retreated for the day 
the saurian rush game did end with a victory for the ugly saurians commander ???
i saw a leader with 17 hp but that was it.

Dauntless is making one, but generally it only works against new players ( And in some maps...)

somebody opened up a game on meteor lake, i received randomly drakes and realized i have more gold than usual.
and what does a a drake player with too much gold usually do ? certainly not sitting around and looking dumb.
this was the most brutal blitzkrieg with a south western keep-busy-side-story ever performed.
i just love attacking p1

In honor of one of the most fun and talented players to ever grace the Wesnoth multiplayer server (oesis), I give you several SMURFOR replays. SMURFOR = nothing but recruiting gliders and saurians. Very fast, very mobile. These are for you, oesis...
