Still, some stats do need to be rebalanced with Steelhive. I usually try to keep games with Steelhive at 50% XP to 70% XP, to keep the Sentient from being imbalanced in MP. Sentients are insane powerful, though, if you play them right. Get one up to full power and just smash your enemies. The crucial thing is to hit them with your strongest units ASAP, don't let them accumulate XP so that they can heal 8. Especially don't try to hold them off with just 1 or 2 Lv1s because then they just take the beating while accumulating XP and pretty soon they've leveled up. And then again. And again until they're like level 8 and have 20-3 ranged marksman.

Yes, Lightshifters are decoys. Here are a few uses for them.

>False Leader, that you can place at a castle or send into battle for a lure. Or maybe even an ambush. Also, the opponent's response when it is revealed to be a decoy is so hilarious.
>Scare Tactics, i.e. OMG Steel Vorpal run away! If you use this too much, especially when the enemy knows that you don't actually have any veterans, it can easily backfire.
>Spam, this is very inefficient but it may let you survive to escape when you're in a pinch. I don't recommend this personally and it's only used at this point because of HP glitch.
>False Troops, again, not recommended since you can usually get a normal combat unit for 2 of these, but you can send some in to make your army look bigger than it is.

I need to buff the Drones up a bit, though. They're supposed to be more useful than this. Maybe raising their terrain defense in water.

...Ah, whatever. I'll take all this stuff over to Melinath's Steelhive Thread.

Alright, I see tons of people saying "great era!!"
And tons of people "giving feedback".. but I see nowhere to download this.

Is it taken down or? was there never a download link to begin with? =.=;;;

It should be in the Wesnoth addons list. Mnewton did upload it, right? I dunno about this topic itself, it's a bit big to go browsing through.

I have to get it on 1.7 soon. Anyone willing to run me era through Wmllint and Wmlindent?? If so, I will post my current work. I am a failure when it comes to getting that kind of stuff.

If you give me the unit files or a folder with them in it then I can add them.
AVbd wrote:The charm attack of the Feyborn Witch (in the Yokai faction) seems to apply to her normal attack, rather than just the special ‘love potion’ attack like it's supposed to. Also, the Yokai faction seemed to cause OOS even with up-to-date versions of the era.

I love the Ageless Era, hope to see everything balanced and everything in the future :) .
I might be able t fix this. I have to take a look.

there is one picture missing in the Dardanian Pillager and Hipparch defense animation
This is the same issue as the movement. It has been fixed.

Hope I answered everything. The next update will be before Christmas

Interesting, but the balancing is vain if not included in the ufficial Ageless era in the Add-ons server.
I can't play a modded era because people joining don't download this balance update.
We need one-and-only ufficial Ageless era in the Add-ons, to prevent OSS errors.

Im right with you MattDakka, in the add ons list should be only a official ageless era, to avoid the OSS erros.

But, maybe we need to stop to give to he ideas, to he can do more easly the next vertion of ageless era.

Many projects in one vertion, he need to enjoy the christmas too.

I will upload the version I want you to update sometime today. I just need to finish adding the Phantoms factions to Ageless Ea, Ageless Heroes, and Ageless RPG Era.
