Understandable strategy for elves:
Get one shaman per 4 units you recruit. Use the shamans to slow opponents, then kill with the others. Repeat. A winner is you.
(that's the very short version that's lacking a lot of detail, but you get what you ask for)

Seriously, if you can't understand the how to play series (which is well written and a very good introduction) then wesnoth is likely well outside your cognitive ability. That or you're being intentionally obtuse or lazy to actually read the points made.
Either way this thread it pointless and deserves a lock.
I suspect having one foot in the past is the best way to understand the present.
