As to why I'm voting against the others, and voting for the Lieu? Its because (Drumroll Please) I don't like the other factions. Leader choice is based on faction first, so by cutting that down more, my only vote is for Lieutenant here.

I admit that the Thrasher isn't the best leader (is pretty tough, though). I just happen to be biased because I came up with the new name on IRC. Regardless, it doesn't deserve to die for a while: it's tough.

Northerners are almost gone; all of their leaders are kind of sub par.

I don't know, I'm quite a fan of the Crossbowman myself. And the Troll Rocklobber as well.

I really believe the Flare is the best MP leader. I'd rather have a Deathblade than a Dark Sorcerer; the extra MP and damage makes up for the HP difference, in my opinion.

The Stalwart is slow, lacks offensive power, and in fact it is not much tougher than a Steelclad given that it's base resistances are lower, it's evasion ability is inferior in most places, and it's special ability only activates on defense.

It just gets plainly outshone by the Steelclad. It needn't remain on this list much longer.

My vote is for the javalineer, a really good looking, fast to assemble unit. has an hybrid can serve pain on however tries to attack him, and since it cannot advance more you don't need to try to feed XP to him.

On the other part, the drake flare has the leadership for the drakes, but it doesn't resist as well as the other drakes, and only is "effective" if you plan to risk to bring him on the enemy lines. (also is a drake and its hard for starter to play them well)
