You should post your thoughts on the campaign in the topic here or else you will be going off topic.

It basically has none. There's not much to it but giant maps of similar terrain with a bare minimum of dialogue. The creator was just testing out how to use WML and admitted that he wanted to delete it shortly after he made it but never bothered. There's not even a real base to build anything from.

If nobody has any overly massive complaints, I'd like to have a go at reviving The North Wind. I like the idea and it seems to me that no campaign since has fully tried the idea.

I've modified the code for 1.6 standard. I've think I've managed to keep the map the same bar adding hilled forests and removing the deep water (it is a stream after all). The camp had to be shifted for the events to fire logically.

It needs re-balancing since the goblins' stats have been bumped up a lot since then, but I don't want to change anything yet, it might be useful to whoever.

An attachment, because fun and profit is good (and talk is cheap).

Hello im really new to this forum.(i joined a fer hours ago)
I think i half-understand this campaign making stuff.
And ive been playing a lot lately.
I loved some of the campaigns because of their creativity.
So i wanted to make my own.
And it said :Open to anyone
But its not easy.Maybe starting with a pre-made one would make it easier.
So is there like a bad campaign that i could work on?
I would try to update it with new stuff.

P.S. I want to learn as i do this and i thought this would be a good way to learn about making campaigns and stuff like that.

Also please try to understand what i just wrote.
EDIT NOTE:If i don't get how do do this im not going to update the campaign because il probably just ruin it.So dont write it in stone that ill do it.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Sorry to intervene, but campaigns are really hard to make for new-campaigners. I'd suggest making a few MP-Scenarios, looking at some of the other codes in other maps, ect. Once again, sorry, but I'd really hate to see the campaign be put back on here when its just gotten off. :) Good luck.

Edit: Didn't see our bottom part, deleted from up there and reposted down here in quote.

The best way to learn is to follow. In order to learn WML, you have to follow other's work, and check their codes.

If you are new to WML, and it has custom terrains, units, images, ect. It can get very difficult. Its best to stick to MP maps.

In North wind, probably change Lenvan's name to something else; this name brings back TROW memories of a lich.

Would anyone happen to have the files for A Seed of Evil? I can find them on here, the addon server, sourceforge or even with the wayback machine... well thats a lie... the wayback machine does show me the name but there are no files to download.

I wanted to see what I could do with it to update it, I seem to have a little time on my hands at the moment
