Now that I think about that, it actually seems odd.... I'll start a new thread about it.Circon wrote:The spectre... is a fighting unit with a drain sword as its primary attack.

That probably wouldn't be too unbalanced in practice. The bat can't stay next to the leader without sacrificing its high movement rate, which is one of its primary advantages. It wouldn't be a great defence unit since it's highly vulnerable to missile attacks; with a little luck, even a level one archer can kill it in a single turn, a mage or marksman would have no trouble at all, and a horseman could kill it with a single charge. And it would only get an extra point or so of drain anyway (Assuming the drain calculation rounds up (unless my math is off)).Elvish Pillager wrote:It's not the amount of damage it does, it's the amount of life it drains that I'm complaining about. I can understand a bat with loads of evil power doing loads of damage... but not getting loads of HP. It also adds a rather strange defensive factor to the leader, since a Bat with leader next to it is harder to kill.
I'm not sure about giving undead healing and leadership.
Many Undead seem like mindless beings, so I'm not sure why they would be affected by leadership. And since they are dead, healing would work differently.
But ignoring the realism, I'm not sure we want to give these abilities to the undead. It would be a huge change for the power of the race.

Why should I be happy?

What would the level 2 have then?tigrezno wrote:I vote for a dark aura
Maybe Necromancer should have a dark-aura-user as an alternate upgrade?

Well, my idea is normal dark adept, then necromancer with plague, or leadership or healing, and finally a lich with the same habilities, or another branch with a dark aura :SElvish Pillager wrote:What would the level 2 have then?tigrezno wrote:I vote for a dark aura

Also, i think all leaders should have leadership, as the name says, they are "leaders" and fighting hand to hand with them give you more power against enemies.

In what way is a Lich a leader? Do you mean a unit with canrecruit=1? It's completely different...tigrezno wrote:Also, i think all leaders should have leadership

Undead is the unique race with a leader being a recruited unit. Other leaders are unique and not recruitable. We should change this and create a master of darkness or somethingElvish Pillager wrote:In what way is a Lich a leader? Do you mean a unit with canrecruit=1?
