What about Konrad?

Post by Eskon »

The players changelog for the 1.7.0 release makes the claim that "Jessica" was the last earth-human name of a major character present in mainline campaigns. I'm confused. Was Konrad renamed at some point?

It sounds like the change-log author indulged in a little bit of Anglocentrism there. All real-world English names have been removed from the game (the English spelling is "Conrad"). I suppose the German spelling "Konrad" makes the name sound more fantasy-like to English players.

Not to mention Arne and Bjarn (though Bjarn is an unusual spelling) Malin is a common name in scandinavia to, but only females use it.

I guess, to the English-speaking world, the continent of Europe is a fantasy?
