Problem Compiling on Linux: Previous Version Files Missing

hi i downloaded the wesnoth source code so i can compile the latest version of wesnoth for my linux and i have a little problem it seems a lot of the previous version files are missing :\ helpz? is it just like an update or something?

Isn't there a separate subforum for compiling and this stuff... Maybe a nice forum emperor will move the topic.

Moved and changed the title to better reflect the problem. Hopefully someone will be along to help you shortly.

To which files are you referring to? The tarball should contain all files required to compile it. Perhaps you've accidentally downloaded something else, e.g. xdelta..

nope i downloaded the source and the files there are only the campaign files :(

You're not making a lot of sense. What exactly did you download? (hint: post an URL)

And what exactly are you missing from there?

oh phew nevermind the thing was i downloaded the 280 mb source code and then i extracted it through the desktop and it only extracted 28 mb which was the campaigns so i decided to try and extract it through the terminal and once i did so it was easy from there on to just configure it and then to make and sudo install
