Regarding the map (Shop)...

It's currently version 0.6, far from a public release, but there are people stealing my code and posting savegames to it online. If you see anyone run a 3-way map that's has the labels "Zophar's domain" and/or "Lucia's domain" and/or "Hiro's domain" on it, please post the host of that stolen version here.

Current list consists of phantom(hosted savegame), phantom2(hosted savegame), madmax(threatened but hasnt hosted it yet), striker(hosted savegame), and ummu(threatened to take my code and release it himself).

[Edit] noclue2 is agreeing with ummu, and also offered to run the map. I caught him confessing as such.

I would be willing to help you with the code. I will pm you with my ideas for stuff to buy at the shops, although I don't have the WML.

Regarding your message: I think you must have either,

1) misunderstood my saying that I could take WESNOTH's code and release it as something that is not an example to demonstrate the GPL's working, or

2) didn't actually look at my messages.

To everybody else, our little discussion together was like this, (Short summary)

Me: I enjoy your map. Can you send it to me, please?

Him (politely, but I forgot how exactly): No. It is not complete.

Me: I would appeciate it if I get the beta, though. I played it once, and thought it was good.

Him: Thief! Was it Phantom's game?

Me: No, it was somebody elses. (If you ask, I will tell you who, but not right now)

Him: I would rather not release it... It is my decision

Me: Ok, but you might consider the Wesnoth is Open-Sourced.

Him(these are the exact words): Game, correct, Code, no.

Me: I'm not sure you are right. *checks gnu.org* (

Him: It is my map, though, and I will release it when it's ready.

Me: (Gives examples of the freedoms of the GPL, politely bothers him one more time to send me the map)

Him: (Loses temper, calls me an [censored], says he will no longer host open betas on official servers, says that I am phantom, phantom2, striker, and a multituded of people I am not because "we have the same IP's, threatens (does) post my name on the forum and denounce me as a stealer)

Game Ends.

I'm sure he will say that I lie, but I'm sure one of the players of the game kept a chatlog...

I love how you subtracted the chat beforehand about having my game saved...saying you already had the map. You did comment on Wesnoth's engine, but purely as an example which you didn't quote here.

MadMax, as I have gotten info verifying your actions, you are off the list. I have also responded to your message - feel free to send more suggestion if you'd like.

oh, come off it, Lunar... unless you have some proof in the form of Chat logs or something, your case is leakier than that pop bottle I took a pellet gun to last week...

Lunar2, I appreciate that emotions are running high for you right now, but if you take a step backward you will agree, I think, that you have slated ummu in two separate threads now, and have failed to respond to his basic request for any sort of public proof.

This looks very bad for you.

Ummu has asked reasonably pollitely, I think, for some sort of quantification from you of your inclusion of him in your list of Bad People, and you have failed to provide this. I could make the suggestion that Lunar2 killed my pet cat, came to my house, and left my fridge open so the milk spoiled, but without any sort of proof to back me up I would look kind of silly, wouldn't I?

In short, calm down and respond reasonably to Ummu's reasonable request for proof, or else retract your accusation of him on both threads. You are the one behaving unreasonably on this forum (regardless of what ummu may or may not have done with your map IRL).

As in, Ummu is not the main problem here, yet he insists on putting himself there! It's not as if I'm accusing him alone! MadMax has also responded in a quieter way, and apologised for his part in it.

I have no desire to prove my claims. Putting him to the forefront of an issue where he isn't even the problem befuddles me.

hmm... well, implying that I'm ummu won't get you anywhere very quickly. In fact, it won't get you anywhere at all, seeing as I am most definetly NOT him.

Have an admin or mod check the IPs, will you? I dare you.
Join date is no sort of proof whatsoever.

Again, you still have no proof of anyone doing anything wrong against you, or your maps, so this topic is quite, in my opinion, useless.

The file I just posted is in .zip, because I can't get .txt to work.... It's actually a txt file, so if you use windows, open it up with notepad. if you use linux, easy,

Lunar2, you imply that what you originally said was that ummu didn't actually *do* anything. That's an excellent admission; but if he didn't actually *do* anything, then there was no reason to include him on your list of Bad People except that you were upset and angry and lashing out. That's fine, but you've obviously caused distress to ummu, and the polite thing to do would be for *you* to apologise and retract your inclusion of his name on your original post.
