I have started using schu's package, but I haven't played it extensively.

I couldn't notice a difference, really. The only bug I ran into was the move_unit_fake bug, and that was still present.

However, I have found that move_unit_fake works when the speed is set to Fast.

Many thanks to Scott and Shu for the MacosX package. Some minors problems I note with it :
1 - The blue mouse graphism of Wesnoth disappear often and is repleace with standard white mouse graphism of Macos, and replace again with the blue mouse after some time.
2 - It's very slow compare with previous release (it seem slow like Wesnoth 7.6, I think, before Sithrandel resolve problem with version for Macos 10.2.8 and Macos 10.3)

I'm not sure about that, but I note the game was more reactive since this release.
I hope it help, I try it on a Macos 10.2.8

I would have to say that in general, it's good. However, slow-ness is an issue. It is not painfully slow, but it is noticeably slower. And I seem to be getting more game not in sync messages in multiplayer mode.

No other problems have been experienced.

I've noticed that newer version of Wesnoth seems to be slower than ones 6 months ago. I figured it was just the program getting bigger and more complex, but we may have lost some optimization for OS X recently. You're right that it is probably the builds for OS X, not the original wesnoth source code.

It used to be that units moved fast, now the moving animations are slow enough that I can see the movement graphics when horsemen charge.

Slowness is most likely due to different build options being used.

That's why the guy who knows what he's doing needs to get back and resume making faster binaries. However, I just assumed it was due to the animated flags and villages.
