me too! I downloaded the game and started playing about a month ago... have had difficulty sleeping a couple of nights :geek:

one mini-storm that came to mind, when I was thinking, "how wonderfully fun to move those characters around"

was : "and if you retained a hex-shape for the units, but removed the hexes from the map? you'd still have ZOC's, you'd still be able to limit the # of attackers and maintain a front-line.... but you might also be able to move more incrementally across the map, position troops a bit more freely, run more risk from enemies?" just a weird brain-hash

anyway, an immense THANKS for this game, all the hard work that's gone into it, the quality is simply amazing and I'm having a blast.

767. You try to be the one to post a certain number of this thread

Back to much better things about wesnoth and not just the forum.

768. For your school geogrophy coursework you go on a residential. Your teacher asks you to take a sketch and plan of the area your are surveying. You go home and then transfer this to wesnoth editor. You print the layout off. Give it in to your teacher and get a U.

This can be done with graphic products too

769: For your graphics coursework you do a point of sale (pos) display on Wesnoth. You make the pos look like a Elvish Archer. When the moderator comes you make a forest around your display ( thats 70% marks guarranteed). He gives you a U because it is not original enough. Thinking him some undead lich in disguise, you pick up the pos and hit him. Thats impact damage remember :P and you are in berserk mode because this is the second course you have failed with wesnoth :P

770. Both of these happen to you, you complain on the forum and tell the deveoplers they have to talk to the exam bourd. They say no and you spam the forum all the time. You get kicked off the forum and quit wesnoth blaiming it all on your friend who introduced it to you :P You then realise that your don't have him as a friend any longer because you kept beating him at wesnoth and woudl never shut up about it.

771. You post something on this thread as you think the mods might find you funny and like you. The opposite happens. ( I have definatly seen some posts which are like that ...)

772: You set up your Codeblocks installation to compile Wesnoth, and then get angry when it won't properly build your other programs ;)
