I found it, like a year ago, on get-deb.com
It's my favourite game, second only to FPS like Open Arena (...and, Half Life, Quake, etc...).

Um, its part of Fedora 9, isn't it? I got it via yum, the package manager, without having to specify some special place to get it from.

If Fedora didn't actually mention/install it as part of its games category I'd've had to come across it via google when searching for something better maintained than Xconq upon finding that Xconq wouldn't compile under Fedora Core 9.

A friend of mine played it a few years ago. I saw it, thought it looked cool, and immediately went home and downloaded the latest version. 1.2 I think.

Recently moved entirely to Ubuntu and, being a TBS addict, needed a good game to relax after work.

About 3 years ago my friend had it. He said it came with the computer though :annoyed: when i showed intrest of where to get it. So i searched it on the interent and found the downlaod page. Then once i downloaded i didn't have interent on my computer that i played it on. So i had a really old version and recently got interent for my computer. That why when people say how long you played wesnoth i say not long because i'm not good at MP. :lol2:

how I found Wesnoth? well my dad was doing the campaign 'A Tale of Two Brothers' and I started watching. I was actually pretty young so i couldn't download it myself so dad gave me a disc every so often with the latest version of Wesnoth. (Am I droning on?). Ever since then I've been playing... WOO WESNOTH!
So theres writing to be written here... not for me...

I was talking with a friend and open- and free-software one day, and we were discussing the lack of good free strategy games. I decided to give it a deeper look and googled for the general term. One of the result pages linked to Wesnoth, and so I'm here :)

My friend said I should try Wesnoth, because it's similar to Egoboo (a great game also) in some ways. I downloaded 1.4... 2 or 3? I do'nt remember which, but it's not a long time ago.
