Looks great, feel free to flesh that concept out.

I've changed it slightly from the original concept, hope that's ok.

from the curve of the hood on our left, it appears it would come out past the other side of the sword. Perhaps change the curve, or put a tail to the hood?

You see, the problem isn't in the fact that his hood's not extended enough, it's just blocked off by the sword. Here's a few variations:

Ah they look very nice. The variations might be useful in animating in the -far- future, but right now I'd rather have 20 different base sprites than a fully animated sprite with 20 frames. :P Keep up the good work Melon.

These look good; however, holding a sword in any of those positions would be very taxing if you were just standing there. I'd say go with something like variation 1, but with his right arm hanging down a little farther and his sword at around 30 degrees below horizontal.

I agree with what megane said, might be a good idea to try it out and see how it comes out. As well I updated the first post with some random stuff that needs spiriting, so feel free to knock a few of them out for anyone who wants to contribute and have time.

Blueblaze,

This is nowhere near presentable (I'm slow), but I just want to make sure I understand what you wanted. Something along these lines?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be *more* taxing (especially to the wrist) to hold a sword at an angle rather than straight up or down? (and if you hold it straight down, you can rest the tip on the ground)

Yes -if- swords were heavy. Realistically, a sword is going to weigh 1-5lbs, so that's not that big of a deal.

Edit: Also to note, the blade part of the sword would be very light, the weight is actually in the handle, so that really reduces the stress your wrist takes.

Well variation 3 makes sense. Hes resting the tip of the sword on the ground.

Blueblaze asked me to make some soldiers in dark armor for him, heres what i've made so far.

All frankensteined from various sources.

Good deal! Soldier and different weapon type variations are very nice. I like how he has to hold his hammer on the ground because it's such a destructive piece of equipment :)

Heres the horse soldier you requested. If he looks too imposing on the big Chaos Overlord horse i could try and put him on a smaller horse.
