yah ty again for the C&C very much helpful :)

I'm always afraid to make fat dark lines cause they're so hard to erase so I will save them for photoshop where everything is easy. Anyways stepping stone #4 or 5: :)

Image

I like it "ok" from the neck down : P

tiny neck or fat head I can't really decide, I never detail faces in pencil cause like I said .03mm is as much an engraving tool as a drawing instrument.

and the hips looks smallish

I can safely say 20-25 more revisions until acceptable :)

edit:

Me likes it. For the coloration somebody with more experience should show up.
One small nitpick you killed the hip with kindness. Aka what was too much in the last version is now perhaps to few?
Anyways keep it coming.

Agreed. There's a lot of character in the sketch that's lost in the coloured version.

lol I thought my coloring would at least be a good foundation for a next step I admittedly don't know :)

I'll probably go draw another sketch but if anyone wants to play with the coloring and possibly point me in the right direction then by all means, here is the linework file

though I'm sure you can think of a million ways to better spend your time :)

edit: linework has wider hips now as well!

hip width = shoulder width IIRC

Just to clarify: It was actually the line art I was concerned about. Your pencil sketch has a lot of character but it seems to have been lost in the 'inking' process.

I've tried to 'digitally ink' your work.

P.S. Note that your art rocks and I cannot do anywhere near as good.

Oh! I always try to tell myself that I will make up the details in photoshop and I think I do oversimplify the linework, the sketches do have alot more charm. I think everyone's right though in that it hurts me both with the character and like jetryl said with the variable line widths. I might as well start being bold on paper and sticking with it since I'm re-drawing so much anwyays :) and as always ty for your compliments, it's such a novel thing for me it makes me giddy :)

Why don't you work directly in Photoshop. I did also work from a scanned paper in the past but now I won't bother with it anyways. Saves time and the rain woods.

mein Computer ist ein apfel! :)
from the states though.

I saved up and bought an intuos but for the life of me I can't make a clean line in photoshop with it; even with the size and shape and whatnot set to pen pressure.

I pretended to be a painter again which once again led me to discover what an actual trainwreck the lineart was :(

mmm practice practice practice

Image

and what's worse I spent 20 minutes painting on the layer with my linework so it's stuck there X(

Not bad the biggest grip I have are the lips they don't fit. The shading and the form actual.
I don't know if you want to fix it or start from scratch but still good coloring.
