Stuck in - A Final Spring

Post by sano »

Definetely a newbie issue, but I'm truly astonished reading about NOT losing a single unit in many if not all missions. I ended up in Final Spring, losing dozens of units (mostly level one, but still... ) in previous scenarios.

Please would someone be so kind and post a replay of how you finished A final spring ?

Everyone: What about creating a topic where we could post replays of missions ? bad idea? :)

My replay attached (v.1.2.7)

thank you for your replays and comments on tactics !

Jessica's death could be avoided, but the time not.

There are such replays, albeit on 1.2(See kalis's replays)
A final spring is actually an easy scenario,
but cannot probably be won without losses because of the nagas
The way I play this is blitz with a large force(the Iron maulers-you did save your 3 heavy infanttry in the second scenario, didn;t you? If not, go back and replay-it's much easier with them-, Jessica, mages, knights and horsemen ) the undead+ eastern orc first. While the force returns, hold the bridge plus the seaside against the nagas and bats. Do not yet go into the water, wait to fight them at land. When the force returns fight for the bridge, cross-I always send a small horseman force to cross the river further north also-, regroup and move on and also recruit all you can and have the mermen and haldric with the ruby cross the sea to finish off the sea orc.

Actually this scenario is fairly easy to win without any losses. If you make sure to have two silver mages by the time you get to this scenario, you can put them on the island on turn 2. This keeps the nagas and bats busy until you can kill that leader. They cause no problems whatsoever. The rest of the map is fairly straightforward.
