One assumes that thanks to the presence of seasons at all, there is a at least some axial tilt. How pronounced it is is another matter.
And i think WRT different day-lengths depending on time of year, WINR applies. Changing that would probably be far too complex.

Hm... so the day/night cycle would go like this?:Glowing Fish wrote:Also, is Wesnoth tilted? For all of the scenarios that mention seasons, none of them has had a scenario where it was deep in winter, and there was more night than daylight.
Code: Select all
{DAWN}
{MIDDAY}
{DUSK}
{FIRSTWATCH}
{MIDNIGHT}
{SECONDWATCH}

So for summer, one turn of night, 3 turns of day, for winter, one turn of day, 3 of night. Could be fun, and might make longer campaigns more strategically and story...ally... interesting, but i think it could be a bit OTT for single games/multiplayer.

Don't you mean "astronomers"?Hans wrote:As far as I know astrologers already found planets in double star systems. Normally this comes down to one star that far out in space that it no longer has a big effect on the inner zones, or both stars so close together, that they effectively become one, sometimes smaller, sometimes bigger, sun.Shadow Master wrote:Interesting to note is that Wesnoth's planet ends up orbiting a dual sun system. That could have a lot of implications which physicians might refuse. But, creative licenses first, huh?

no, astrologers. when Naia is in the third house, your star sign is the The Badger, a black cat walks over your path and your fourth chakra has opened, then the two suns merge and Wesnoth orbits them both. which part dont you get?Theo wrote:Don't you mean "astronomers"?Hans wrote: As far as I know astrologers already found planets in double star systems. There's a 24-hour time schedule set of images somewhere... *checks*turin wrote:I might have to use that on some level... but first I'd need images for midday and midnight. You know, with the sun and moon directly overhead.
Here.
There are midnight and midday frames in that set, of course, as well as a whole lot more.
