sceptre of fire, worth a redo?
Ok, quick question here. After having some trouble with sceptre of fire (HttT) I managed to beat it, but unfortunatly konrad got the sceptre instead of li'sar like I intended. Konrad is still level 1 (he's way to fragile, and I'm too new to risk him much) so I don't want to waste a good ranged magical attack on a guy I'll barely use. Li'sar is level 2, and more then halfway to 3, and a ranged attack would round her out nicely as a great addition to my main army.
So, having taken 4-5 trys to beat the level, is it worth going back and trying again to get her the sceptre?

The Sceptre of Fire scenario is good practice so, if you enjoyed it or, at least, didn't find it too frustrating then why not go back and redo it. However, if you're just enjoying the campaign and want to get through it and finish it then carry on the way you are, you can always come back and replay the whole campaign at a later date (perhaps on a more challenging mode if you're not already on the top difficulty level for HttT). You shouldn't need Li'sar to have the Sceptre in order to finish the campaign (if you do, then something's gone wrong with the rest of your game play
).

Also, it gives you a very good chance to get konrad xp, as he'll deal enough damage to not have to finish off wounded units. if you just send him along with a bit of protection, you would be perfectly able to finish off even slightly wounded units, you'll soon have a very powerful unit. Not having to keep him back by your starting castle will also be nice, because once you have the units to finish a scenario, you can send out a nice leadership unit, who also happens to have a powerful attack. Li'sar is strong, and while she would be even more powerful with the sceptre, having two powerful units you don't have to recall is very nice.
If enough people bang their heads against a brick wall, The brick wall will fall down
Thanks one and all for the advice. I think I'll just keep going as is for now (not a big fan of that level) and try to level konrad up a bit (considering that a ranged kill attack is perfect for doing just that without taking much/any damage). Li'sar with the armor upgrade ought to be powerful enough as is too, I agree with Weeksy that balancing things out among the loyal auto-recalled troops is a good idea.
Oh and by the way appleide, konrad is level 1 because he hasn't gotten near enough enemys to get any more experience. Protecting him hasn't been a difficulty yet, and since this is the easy setting (first campaign I started, why not do it on easy) I'm not too worried. But thanks for the luck anyway
