And again you broke the package by uppercasing the names that shouldn't...

Yeah, actually, since I already worked with the Quesicans, it is a pity if I can't play them... All in all, I think this is definitively one of the most interesting user factions I saw around here yet. Well done! :)

P.S: You know, pretty much everything you should have to do with them to make them work with 1.2 is to change the arcane damage types to holy and somehow balance that against undead (and some chaos guys).

Wait - how could that be? I used your files to copy over, and the editing changes I made (bugs, etc) shouldn't have been different.

Are we talking about inside the files or the file's names themselves? Because if it's the file names themselves - i think copying over doesnt change the original name on my platform.

I'm a bit confused now.

Lemme know which it is.

I empathise with you guys about not having a version to yourselves. I might be able to do as you ask - but for right now oraganization is a bit messy, and having two copies of something would screw me up (im not the most organized person in the world). To prevent from old bugs cropping back up, I only have two copies of the faction, the one I work on for future releases, and the one that is the current release that everyone on 1.3.x can play.

Once the Faction gets a little more solid and I dont have case-problems, I'll look into releasing a 1.2.x.

Qes, you should PM Noyga or post in the EE project thread if you want this faction to be in EE.

A) ubuntu is beyond me - I am but a humble windows user.

B) what is a tar? - a compression type? Will winrar do it?

Im still confused.

winrar can't create tars, but it can open them... tars or tarballs, are more of a package than a compression, but some compression is added sometimes. google tarball for more info, I don't know a lot about them.

ubuntu can run from an image and it is probably the quickest way to check that's wrong

Ubuntu is really a worthwhile thing to check out... I would make a live-cd that would let you have windows installed and still look at it. It's very user-friendly, assuming you know how to type without too many errors. It's the only functional linux version I would consider user-friendly to the maximum...

Fella's I hate to be blunt, but im not learning any new platforms for wesnoth.

I'll do what I can with windows, and be as helpful as I can be, given the circumstances, but I cannot develop the energy to learn new tricks.

Curmudgeonly though I may be, I simply am not going to go through that much effort.

I think the Qesicans are balanced (or near) balanced enough to go into the next EE. You should ask, Qes!

BTW, Elvish Woes own the qesicans! The whole of the recruitable units in the Qesican arsenal do not have blade OR fire damage.
