Welcome.
Good work, you have done a good sprite
If you have a story of a campaign, you can post it here if you want, or wait until we have all the units.
Any suggestions or commentaries about the faction are welcome, I don't want to do this alone, a lot of time I commit mistakes, so is good if the community can correct me when I am wrong.
cheers!

Nahual Owl, the Aztec shaman
Tecolotl
Expert wizards of the black magic, they are disciples of Tezcatlipoca.
Its single presence can paralyze of fear his enemies, but for that, they themselves must defeat all their fears surpassing the tests that are imposed to them in their training, fighting against terrific beings of the infraworld.
When they acquire the rank of Nahual Owl they leave the temple of Tezcatlipoca to cross the valley, serving as spies to the Black Mirror, because what they catch with their eyes can be reflected in the smoky mirror of Tezcatlipoca.
The main means of subsistence of them is the robbery, and their powers are increased as they seize magical objects and amulets, between which they prefer the arms, hands and fingers acquired from corpses of young ladies and soldiers killed in action.
Their spells can paralyze the enemy, they can become invisible in the shades and be transformed into owls. Common people prefer to avoid them, since its presence is a death augury.

Is there any chance of giving the Shaman a 'Sacrifice' ability? There are a number of possible variants, but one I liked was, when a Shaman kills an enemy, he gains the usual amount of XP and all adjacent units gain half that amount of XP. (It could be either all the units adjacent to the Shaman or all units adjacent to the victim - the latter is probably more balanced).
Alternately a specialised branch of the Shaman could have this ability.

The sacrifice ability definitively must be in the Aztec faction.
But actually the Shaman haves many abilities. I was thinking in becoming the Shaman a level 2 unit. Create some kind of "Apprentice" as level 1. And giving the opportunity to become a Shaman or a Priest(the one with the sacrifice ability).
This is only one idea, any suggestions welcome.

Here is a new idea about the Aztec faction.
Two great groups, each group follows two great deities:
[Jade] Quetzalcoatl - Tlaloc
[Obsidian] Tezcatlipoca - Huitzilopochtli
Warrior for the group of [Jade] (loyalists)
EDIT: Revised

- Yaocuauhtli [scout]
- Coyote Warrior [skirmisher] --idea only
- Quetzal Tlachisque [priest]
- Tepeyolotl [fighter]
- Coyolxauhqui [assassin]
- Mixcoac [archer]
- Owl Nahual [shaman]
