Trouble downloading

Post by Swiftfingers »

I have been trying to update to the latest version of the extended era and it is incredibly slow in downloading. So slow that eventually I get a server timeout. Is this a fault with the server or with my computer? I didn't know if others were experiencing this also. Any help would be appreciated.

Thx

chaos works fine, although I'm working on getting a graphic that looks more like a level 1 but is in the same style of the crabs (I think that the level 2 would be good called hell crab, but the level 1 be called 'crab fiend' or something, and have evil eye be arcane damage). Factions with XE Naga Hunter in them are still trying to recruit Naga Hunter, which means outlaws and northerners can't recruit. The Immortal isn't showing up as team colored, it's showing up as magenta, which looks rather funny.

About that Hunter mistake, i forgot to make my changes everywhere
And i forgot to put enable the team color on the Immortal
I should fix it soon (and fetch the latest translations too).

About the two new Chaos units i did it whith the graphics i had, it's true they look more like level 2 & 3 than level 1 & 2. About the damage type or their ranged attack i hesitated between arcane and cold... I did choose cold (over arcane that i did choose initially) because i fact i don't see why it should be more efficient on magical creatures.
For the name i did not have much inspiration, feel free to suggest some new better names.

That one should fix the bug of the previous version...
Also done a cheap edit of the Hoarfroster line images so now they look different than the noble mages.

I had scheduled for this weekend the generation of unit trees for x.26.0, versions are going fast! In any case, I am working on integrating the scripts, so this can be a good practice.

Is that a level 3? It looks pretty intimidating.

Actually, it's supposed to be the level 1 version of Neoriceisgood's evil crab unit.

@Weeksy: Would it be possible to post that image side-by-side with Neo's images for comparison?

EDIT: Never mind. I found what I was looking for in your Art Workshop thread. See my comments there.

Just a little suggestion, but how about a level 1 unit for the Outlaw Princess/Queen tree? They're pretty interesting units, and a unit without any of the special abilities (basically a slightly weaker footpad, although the Outlaw queen is much better than the fugitive) might fit it.

What I have in mind is something along this line:

Outlaw Maiden
Level 1
Chaotic

HP: 31-32
Cost: 20 (Outlaw princess was 40, and most level 2 seem to be priced at around double their level 1 source.)(
Moves:7 (Same movement type as its upgrades, I'd think.)
XP: 40-45? (Not sure what will be a good number.)

Attacks:

Melee: Staff - Impact - 5-2
Ranged: Sling - Impact - 5-3?

Same resistances as its upgrades too.

Basically a better footpad that gets much better as it levels, with Skirmisher coming at level 2 and Leadership at 3, but also a much heftier price tag.

What do you guys think?

Well does it really make sense to have both Outlaw Maiden and Footpad recruitable ?
IHMO they are too similar units.

BTW, in the RPG era, the Footpad can level to an Outlaw Princess

Why make the outlaw princess gender limited? If it rises from the footpad, make it an outlaw prince/princess, and outlaw queen/king.
