a) all games played with the current version should show no problem with savegames/replays
b)on previous 1.2 versions you will get a non-corrupt replay
except if you have saved your game somewhere during the
scenario in question?
a) Definitely yes
b) Yes, i think so. To be honest it was subject to a last minute fix and i haven't done intensive tests yet. Some problems for sure have been fixed. I will look out for remaining issues and try to address those as well.

Good work, especially the speedups in the multiplayer lobby! And thanks to Sapient for porting back the "stay scrolled down" feature of the game list.

Unfortunately there's also a drawback. Although the new mages look nice they are harder to see on the map now and are hard to distinguish from each other. Could you please make them more colored again? The blue for the level 1 mage was really nice and better to see.

I'm afraid it isn't the case =/ I've tried loading replays that had been made with 1.2.1, and the game crashes after prompting me if i want to load a save from a previous version.

Other than that, there seems to be a nice speed-up at start-up, so that's great.

Oh well, there seems to be a misunderstanding, "current version" is 1.2.2 for me :) .
Anyway i am willing to tackle this, so please post the savegame here:

The new mages are cool.
And the scroll speed in the lobby is really much better now.
Good work!

This download works fine, but when I dled from the homepage at first the .exe gave me an error when I ran it. Was that an incorrect link on the homepage?

I just downloaded it, and I don't like it at all. Many of the new graphics suck and when you put it on fast, the battles are just too fast to see whats going on(that speed is something for replays). I'm going to use the old version again and hope I'll never have to use this one ever again <.<

If you are using at least debian etch you can get the package from experimental.

@Isaac: Any chance to get 1.2.2 into the etch release as it's a major improvement for multiplayer (compared to 1.2)?

Thank you so much for this great release :D

But I have one question: Will there be a next stable version (1.2.3 for example) or are you only working on the development release (1.3.1)?

AFAIK we are working on both branchs (1.2.x & 1.3.1), and the next release will be probably a 1.2.x.
