If you can come up with a good new name for the Myrmidon, one that won't have any major cultural gaffes towards India in it; I'd consider changing the name. I'm afraid of laying down any such name myself.Gauteamus wrote:Strange - I would have thought it to be the other way around, with the Myrmidons being the warriors of Achilles.Jetryl wrote: Mermen have very "classical greek" styles of armour/armament. Maybe the myrmidon name could be used on mermen tree (lvl 2??) and a new one found for the Naga upgrade(s), maybe even one with sanskrit roots (which indo-european word doesn't, or connected to hindi mythology?
I always found it particular with the greek themed names of both the Naga and Mermen lines, considering the enmities I imagine between them.
Temuchin might be able to help, actually.

I am sorry to have derailed this topic from art improvements to a name discussion.
I also think the Myrmidon name is absolutely great (as the sprite), but that it maybe would fit the merman line better (with a new indian-style or more generic name for the lvl3 naga.)
I started a new thread about the Naga names in the Ideas forum.
Maybe someone with moderator powers would move or delete the posts from my last one from this thread if they feel disturbing.
