I have created a new map. The name is "cave_of_darkness_map".
This map is based on "battle_lake_map_version2". Now its the map for 2vs2 player. Have fun with this map :) :

IMO, the map are interesting, but the order of the turn of players 2 and 4 could be modified (moving player 2 last, assigned in the present map).

Another subject: The allies of each side are something remote to each other, and the map is something great (30,30 could be better).

Finally: The different types from land would have to be less sectored, that is to say, a little each one in all the map, since (for example) all the land is plain around the castles; that favors only to some units (imbalance). Some mountains and hills would favor to the dwarves and more forests to elves (for example)...

You do realize tha hgue stretches of cave like that completely preclude this map from being balanced. I dare you to do well on this map with loyals or elves.

such maps are not likely to be played much then :) Besides I don't think large stretches of cave are particularly asthetic.

They are rather anaesthetic, play-wise. I guess aesthetics are subjective, though.

Why is it that people who first make maps tend to avoid or prevent player-to-player confrontation, except through impossible terrain or excessive choke points (liike bridges over deep water)? Is it reluctance to engage in battle? :twisted:

I prioritize the functionality. Soon, with the aesthetic, we molded the map. In addition, the players would not have to take an eternity to confront: IMO, so extensive maps and with few players do not favor to the clash.

Hmm have you ever visited the 1.0.2 server lately? Be amazed what kinds of maps are played there :wink:

actually this map looks like an eternal dwarves 'n trolls duell. - basically no other unit is useful in there - also the general low move rate in caves will be a time killer

Delete the first map. You changed like 8 hexes on the whole map.

Hi all again :) ,

I want to create a good map. It will be the best map they I have created.
The name of this map "south_and_north_castles". The map is for 3vs3
player I think. At south is grass but in the north will be snow and ice.
The south player will be in "one" castle south and north. In the middle is a river (there will be little isls). I mean it so (example map):
