Playing Under the burning suns-Stuck in subetannean struggle
I am not very sure weather I have to support trolls or darves, I want to a hell
get out of that level without losing my units.
I have 1229 gold
1 desert marshal(kaleh)
1 desert avenger
2 desert prowlers(Nym & else)
2 desert shyde(Zhul & else)
1 desert rider
1 desert captain
2 desert rangers
1 silver mage
what should I do ?
get out of that level without losing my units.

I joined the dwarves. I concentrated my resistance south of Kaleh's new keep. I sent only a delaying force to the east, to help the fighting dwarves.
When the Troll Leaders are finished (pretty hard task - your elves aren't too good in the caves - you should control them that they can easily reach the villages, druids are also useful...), the dwarves then ask you to defeat the Troll Chieftain.
Then I encountered lava field, which I had to pass (also difficult). After this I finnaly reached the fortress of the troll chief. He'll raise the undead zombies, but they are easy to kill. Troll Chieftain himself isn't too hard to kill. End
If you decide to play with the dwarves: Recruit many hunters, for they can slow down the trolls - very important. And beware the shamans and their flame attack.
Good luck !!

Shydes are priceless in the underground maps.
Anyway, marksmen are awesome as well (hit chance), prowlers are good (slowing, especially the nasty shamans and thunderguards) and choose your ground carefully. Make good use of choke points, try to get the upper hand in numbers and in lighting - use the illuminated areas if you can, but don't sacrifice positioning and/or numbers for that.
Keep rotating units in and out, they'll need it. Use lower-level units carefully - they make great sacrifices, but if you want to keep them be careful.

Had I been present at the Creation I would've given some hints as to the better ordering of the Universe...
