Except the Augur doesn't have a staff, IIRC.

I know the sprite has a staff, but I'm going to call artistic license on that one. He's put it down somewhere.

Approved. Other portrait artists should take note.
You only have to include the weapon if it's absolutely necessary. A bowman (generally) must have a bow, but a wizard doesn't necessarily need a tool to do his job.

Little question: Where does the light comes from? Maybe he's summoning a glowing nothing?

Go back a few images. The version I currently endorse is the one with the glowing vision of a tree under his hands. The one with blank space there was provided for Jetryl's benefit.

Isn't it a dark tree? The vision is dark, too, so you could make it like the hands are darker than the rest, like the light is flowing into the version...
