I can see it, good stuff.

EDIT: By the way. what unit is that portrait intended for? I looked at the list of Aragwaith units and I didn't see anything that matched. Is the portrait for a character? Or am I just missing something?

Any better?

And yeah it's the female variation for the mage something for the tired eyes.

DeviantArt is not fond of hot-linking, so they take some preliminary steps to bar the practice. Keeps kids from using it to host sig images for them.

(er ... thanks kestenvarn - beat me to it.)

And at that, I'll just quietly tip my hat to wayfarer's continuing improvement. His inking still needs some considerable work before he'd match someone like Ian McConville or Mohammed F. Haque, but this is decent, now.
Hey thanks but at the moment I'm just struggling to create a new working sketch that I can use at least as a base for new inkings. You know that the final product only shares the overall shape with the original sketch.

And before I forget it thanks for the kind advices.

For those who are interested.

For sure still improveable but to hell everybody starts small.

The colouring really doesn't do justice to the linework.

Right breast needs to be rounded better. Also, some of the coloring seems sketchy. It's a great start, I know with a little wax you can make it awesome!

Is this a bit much for a basic unit though? Maybe this should be used for female Archmage instead (by changing the robe colors). After all, the female Archmage does have grey hair like the sprite already has. Using something this extreme for the base unit sort of lends a lot of expectation to the unit itself which can be disorienting.
What if nobody ever asked "What if?"

Huh?

This is a portrait for the Aragwaithi female Warlock, whose sprite really does look like that.

Oh . . . my bad. I misunderstood what this art was for. Disregard that then.

Changed breast some smaller adds add shading.

Zhukov wrote:The colouring really doesn't do justice to the linework.
Exactly thats the point.

I could have shaded here with cell shading there are plenty good turitorials out there. She would have looked good perhaps even a lot cleaner but I'm aiming for something else you must fly before you can walk. (Perhaps on your nose)

Someday perhaps I'll get to do something like this.

This stuff has a wonderfull and a more natural shading though I don't how but I want to get there and even if I won't succed the way is all.

Nevertheless this girl is finished (for now).

The next will be the Slayer which base sketch is finsihed but nothing else.

He does make certain impression. Some kind of relief I'm sitting in a moderate climate zone, not in a desert, where I could meet him and unconsciously say something bad about something his mother.
