I use the latest dev version to occasionally play MP, and some SVN builds here and there to test some new features. When the dev branch was pretty broken (1.1.3-1.1.4) I played a few MP games on the good old stable server, though.

Though I have to say I'm fully into that Klingon/Hobbit fork if it's ever released. :)

You currently use all of them? What for?

World domination, fool.

;) On a more serious note, I still have copies of most of the old mac builds dating from about .6 or so. Half of these are backed up onto a cd (and *not* on my hard drive). I keep these purely because ... I'm a primary developer, and it would be a shame for me *not* to have such an archive, if anyone becomes interested down the road. Also, though I can (just like dave) make a previous version by compiling the appropriate release from SVN, I cannot (feasibly) recreate the non-trivial work that Sithrandel did to make the mac version as nice as it was.

On my hard drive, I currently have the following Sithrandel/lwa builds:
0.8.11
0.9
0.9.1
1.0rc1
1.0
1.1
1.1.2a

And one 1.1.5+svn build (which has parts of newer SVN grafted into it, like units/images). I generally nuke and pave the repository whenever I *need* a new build to do my work (generally every month or two, because of some new code feature, like team-color, or a bugfix). I first make sure I don't have any lingering uncommitted work files in the data directory of my build (I just back it up, and I have other copies of the images, invariably). Then, I delete everything in my local copy of the repository, and run a svn update to restore everything to the latest state. Make a fresh build, then, and go to town.

I actually, occasionally make use of 1.0 for ... stuff (I've updated a few things in the old build which made it to 1.0.2).

But the other builds are just sitting there until I get enough to burn a CD of them, which I then do, and delete them. I quite likely will delete my local copy of the wesnoth-1.0 repository after 1.2 is released - no need for it, anymore.

1.1.3 because I haven't yet sussed compilation (some message about missing C compilers or something), but the Ark Linux version seems to work OK.

Hmm, apparently I can't change my vote. One of those 1.1.5's is a 1.1.7 now...

had to downgrade to 1.1.5 after some crashes while the try to load a save game, which was important... i hope now that a 1.1.7a will see the light and that it will have also an option to disable autosave and that the whole save system is more like it was in 1.1.2a and before... less informations and the like. much faster and maybe again with some game fun, not like the actual versions.

1.1.7, to get the balance changes. Before this thread, I'd never even heard of SVN, can only infer what it is, and wouldn't have the skill to use it. :)

Nothing, currently, because I cleared out my laptop of wesnoth versions (I had about 7) before I wen't to cosford (BTW, I'm back, incase you hadn't noticed) and I am going to get the latest build, once I finish checking the forums if Doctor Who doesn't start by then. (at which point I'll do it after).

Infact, I might get an SVN build as well, simply because I never have before, and I like the bleeding edge, but I'll have the latest development too because as my summer holidays have started (three hours ago) I'll now be able to go on multiplayer.

I'm doing an SVN build every other day or so, although lately the developement releases have been coming pretty close, so it's not really necessary. But I'm addicted, what can I do

For MP, I use 1.1.7, though.

If you look at the number of players in mp then winner is 1.0.2; this poll won't give you what you are looking for.
