Wow, an attempt at sarcasm sparked all that insanity. But the name Celestials dosen't mean every unit is an angelic type thing, in fact most of the units aren't... From now on I'll keep sarcasm and insanity to myself... And my doctor... And my meds.

Oh yeah, and for the guy who said I don't know about Angels, I never said they were sissies (Trust me, I read my Bible, I know the stuff), I said the NAME was sissy.

But humanoid, have wings, and 'were designed and had their units named around angels' does.

Look - you have crusaders, monks, and obviously angel-based guys (although they're "not angels"). You can avoid the traditional angels/demons storylines all you want (I advise you do, actually), but every new player who sees them will immediately think "angels! crusaders!", and there's not a lot you can do to change that.

Do you not remember that winged Celestials are called Winged Ones? Do you not remember the history I wrote for them? Do you not remember that the angelic names are being changed?

JW, calm down fella. Turin, don't turn this into another DE thread please. You drove us ALL nuts that time. As for a remarkable resemblance to angels, yes the Celestials do resemble them, which is something we should, in some way avoid.

I don't like them and I suspect that (judging by the posts he made in your thread) JW doesn't like tehm either.

If you can make them high enough quality and come up with an idea for a general backstory, it's possible. I'm not going to say it's likely, but you could always surprise me. Going off of what you have right now though I would say no.

oh, one more quick question. aside from the obvious faction (art+unit data) what else do i need to get it apart of the era? a story line of them or an actual campaign? a campaign will be harder mainly because after saving my campaigns, the never, ever load again (i tried the whole debug thing and it didnt work) so would u just want a background story?

Now that we have some background on all the faction maybe add some big wars and stuff. Make them interact. Possibility's of campaigns etc.

Amen to that, maybe even a war between Vampires, Undead, and the Celestials? Could be kinda neat, chaos against order. The only thing is is that in any scenario against the Undead you would need the Celestials outnumbered by at least 4 or 5 to one. To unbalance the holy attacks.

I'll sit down with all The EOM histories and try to create one over-compassing history and story arc for all of them. That is if JW and Jester approve. If you need to see some of my writing first, play the DE campaign A New Threat, the current version has my writing (The original had some bizzare slapstick comedy stuff by Assassin I think.).
