Another magic player? Nice to see.

But the creepy swamp doesn´t fit to the other variations. :?

Looks like rotten trees over a great deal of green moss. Almost no watery feeling except the fact that such a color doesn't look like soil.

It also feels disturbing in a way. One wouldn't expect to see a terrain with that color and dead trees. Feels good.

This older Magic card shows what I think a swamp should look like. More dark and grey...

my idea of swamp would be from MTG too, but the ones from mirage, with the weird banks that looked like undead were in them :)

Take a look at the Urza's Saga lands and tell me why you use any other card as a basis for your art. :)

Yeah, the creepy swamp is just an ATTEMPT (see thread title), nothing more. If you think it sucks, fine. I think it sucks too!!! But, at least it is a starting point for further work/discussion.

And no, I am not happy with the 1.1 swamp. I think the mod I posted at the beginning of this thread is potentially much better (once the tiling issues are resolved).

This thread is for experimenting and brainstorming new swamp tiles. So if you think this idea sucks, go start your own thread about how much you love 1.1 swamp.

The way you expressed yourself didn't add any new information nor provide or suggest a way to fix the problems. It simply was a troll.

jew, let me put it this way: Artists are here doing this for fun. No one is paying them to do this. So, if you can't show some common courtesy when critiquing their work, then it is no longer fun, and thus they no longer feel the desire to continue.

So, in other words, say what you wish but don't ruin other people's fun! I hope you will follow this simple advice.

Ok, enough of this. Player: if you can't manage to come up with some constructive criticism or usefull advice, then don't post at all. Any more trolling will be deleted.

Sapient, are you gonna go with some of your latest versions as a base for a new swamp? I would like to use the one I edited as a base for a new tropical forest. They need to be distinguishable from each other.

Frame: if you want to use that as a base for tropical forest, go right ahead. I am still in the very early stages of my swamp tile development and have not settled upon any particular design yet. Hopefully, I will be posting more ideas soon.
